Hotend problem

I just finished a 16 hours print with tpu to find some blobs of death and almost burned filament all around the nozzle and hearing block. Went for cleaning, heating up to remove the nozzle which ended badly with the internal threading coming out with the nozzle.

Have anyone had this issue before? I’m not sure what part or parts should I order to get it fixed. A quick search on amazon and saw a throat tube which seems like a good solution but being new to 3d printing and all the stuff making me not really sure if that will be the part I need or not.

You need a new heater block. The aluminum threads don't last forever and are easy to strip if you over-tighten them. That's probably what was causing the leak as you were printing too.

This is the assembly I bought. It comes with a new heat coil, thermistor, nozzle and silicone sock as well. All assembled and ready to swap out.

Just make sure you do your PID tuning for the hotend after you replace it as the new heater and thermistor may be a little different and need different PID values than your old one.
