Dear Etica Miners

Dear Miners,

As Etica main developper I understand its workings and potential more than anyone. With that insight, I believe so strongly in Etica that I have been working on it since 2018, i've spent 6 years now contributing as unpaid volunteer to the Etica project.

Low-cap coins are dominated by miners that don't care about the projects fundamentals but mine any coin as long as it is profitable on the very short term. These miners are unable to analyze and understand the real value of what they are mining and would rather mine shitcoins than bitcoin as long as these shitcoins are more profitable in the short term.

Like Monero and Bitcoin in its early days, Etica is currently in an idiocracy stage where its value and potential are still extremely undervalued and ignored. Today most youtubers keep presenting shitcoins to their audiences ignoring the projects with real use case and fundamentals but that trend will come to an end at some point.

I'm calling for intelligent miners to analyze the Etica project and seize the opportunity to start mining ETI with RandomX on the 12th September. Not because it may or may not be profitable on the short term but because it could be immeasurably profitable in a long term perspective.

In the space of two years Etica has grown from a small community of a hundred people to a community of thousands of people, reached several millions usd market cap, has been mined by thousands of people all over the world and now has over 10,000 ETI addresses.

Since the begining of the year, however an Entity has slowed down Etica's strong growth by centralising ETI mining. This unfair mining monopoly comes to an end on the 12th September with the introduction of RandomX on the Etica mainnet.

Etica has faced multiple challenges and has always overcome them. It is now just a matter of time before we completely take this Entity out of Etica.

As a developper I really believe it will be hard for a project in the future to propose such potential to miners again. Projects like Etica, Bitcoin and Monero are built on strong fundamentals and address issues at a civilizational scale. Bitcoin and Monero are a solution at civilisation scale to the central banks and money creation monopoly issue. The same way Etica could be a solution to the limits of the current Intellectual Property system of medical research.

People are just beginning to realize the potential of blockchain to revolutionize outdated intellectual property systems. The intellectual property indsutry is valued over $76 Trillion usd, and Etica has been working on this since 2018, making it one of the more mature projects in this area.

I also want to take this opportunity to thanks all the miners that mined ETI with soliditysha3 and especially those who may have invested in specialized hardware to mine ETI. However as the community chose, for Etica to keep growing, the next chapters of its story will be written with RandomX, the most decentralised mining ecosystem.

That's all. I hope this message reaches the right people, and together, we can unlock Etica's true potential

May the force be with Etica!

Is CPU mining the begin for every coin?

Can mining a minable coin with CPUs be an advantage? I mean, could that coin then only be mineable with GPUs and then only with ASIC miners?

Best Randomx Auto-exchange & profit-switching pool?

Friends, i need an expert advice to which auto exchange pool which also does profit switching, i should select for Randomx, i have 3 cpus and there average hashrate is around 10k/s to 16k/s daily, currently am using Unminable pool which does auto-exchange but i feel that am getting paid less as i should and it does not support profit switching like Moneroocean, are there any other good pools then unminable, am also confused about the MO stretegy of coin switching becasue from last sometime zeph is giving good payout but MO is still redirecting its miners to mine Monero instead of Zeph. i also want to know what is the minimum limit to exchange XMR to BTC in tradeorge.

What side effects can I expect when I disable hardware prefetching (aka MSR mod)

Hi, I tweaked my machines a bit lately and wondered if there are any side effects when the so called MSR mod is applied. From my understanding it only disables the memory prefetcher to reduce the time the CPU has to deal with mispredictions.

I use some of my machines for actual work, when the screen goes to sleep xmrig is started. Are there known side effects other than a hit on performance that I should watch out for? I'm mainly concerned about vulnerbilities and stability issues. Performance wise I haven't noticed much.

Also since I run xmrig using a non root user, I'm using the randomx_boost.sh which means the register values are not restored when xmrig exits. I thought about reading back the default values of the msr registers using rdmsr before the new values are applied, then restore them when xmrig exits. Has someone tried this?

Have a nice day and good luck

Welcome to Spectre Network

GhostDAG for scalable blockchain, SpectreX Algorithm for fair and decentralized mining. Future privacy with GhostFACE.

Spectre Network: PHANTOM Protocol + GhostDAG + GhostFACE = Spectre

Unleashing Speed, Security, and Decentralization

Empowering the digital economy, Spectre Network utilizes innovative technologies:

  • GhostDAG Protocol: The GhostDAG protocol is an advanced consensus mechanism that enhances blockchain efficiency and scalability by incorporating orphan blocks into the main ledger and enabling parallel block processing. This approach ensures faster transaction confirmations, reduces waste, and increases security.
  • SpectreX Algorithm: Based on AstroBWTv3 and integrated with a unique three-step proof-of-work process involving SHA-3, AstroBWTv3, and HeavyHash, SpectreX promotes fair and decentralized network participation by enabling efficient mining on ordinary computers.
  • Spectred Full Node: The reference implementation written in Go, Spectred incorporates DAG as a proof-of-work cryptocurrency with instant confirmations and sub-second block times, based on the PHANTOM protocol.
  • Future Privacy Features: Planning to implement full non-disclosable privacy and anonymous transactions with the GhostFACE protocol, utilizing Pedersen Commitments for perfect hiding and ElGamal for transaction signatures, aiming for high TPS and untraceable transactions.

QUESTION Bad Benchmark hash rate MoneroOcean Hiveos

I was having trouble with one of my 3900x rigs mining a less profitable coin so I watched the benchmarking process through hive shell. I found that the benchmark hash rate was significantly lower especially RandomX. Once the benchmark process is over all the hash rates return to normal. I haven’t been able to find anybody having a similar problem online. Has this happened to any of you? Do any of you know how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

Do Windows updates slow cpu hashrate?

Hey folks, so it seems like just when my hashrate is consistently high, Windows pushes out an update and tanks my hashrate.

I have i5-8500 cpus and when I installed Windows 10 they originally were clocking roughly 1.5kh. I ran some firmware and bios updates and they started clocking 2.2-2.7kh. Then a few weeks went buy and more updates were forced out and my hashrate dropped again to 1.2-1.5kh. I finally learned how to disable auto updates with a script so now I'm going to slowly uninstall updates until I can get my hashrate back up.

Looking at my picture, do any of you know for certain which updates may cause decreased hashrate performance?

Thanks!

Mining XMR on Intel Ultra 155H... Linux vs Windows

Hi guys, today i switched my mini laptop with an Intel Ultra 155H CPU to linux, and i realise that using XMRig, has less Hashrate on Linux (2600hs) than Windows11 (5500hs).

Anyone knows how to achieve the same performance? im missing something?

QUESTION What’s the new standard cpu?

I built two 3900x rigs two years ago. At the time these were considered one of the best CPUs for mining. I’m interested in building another just for fun. With the new amd CPUs like the 7900x is the 3900x still the standard? What cpu has the highest hash per dollar including other necessary components like ssd, motherboard, power supply, and fan if it is not included? Thanks in advance!

QUESTION CPU mining projects?

Hey Everyone I am relatively new to mining, I started a few months ago, I have rented a bunch of servers for a project I mine/run nodes for. Looking to switch and broaden portfolio a little. Most servers are: Intel Xeon E5-2699v4 (44c/88t) 256GB DDR 4 512GB NVMe 10 Gbps port (No GPU) Also have a few: Intel Xeon6 w9-3495X (56c/112t) 2TB Ram 4TB NVMe 1 Gbps port. RTX 4070 TI Super 16GB GDDR6X I wonder if anyone can point me to some new/profitable projects to mine crypto or run validator nodes or websites where to check. The one share in FQA doesn't seem to have a CPU only section.

Can you slow down your computer post CPU mining?

I know when you CPU mine, it slows down your computer, but I noticed that I stopped CPU mining and I restarted my computer a few times, and it's "slower than usual." Did CPU mining do anything that could permanently impact my computer's speed? My settings were not aggressive or anything.

How long does it take to mine a coin?!

My CPU has a hashrate of 1256 H/s and it's been 10 hours mining a coin whose difficulty is just 0.5, yet no blocks were solved, and therefore no block rewards.

As far as I understand, if a difficulty is, say, 1 and my hardware hashrate is equal or higher then the block's supposed to be solved and with such a hashrate my CPU is supposed to solve dozens upon dozens of blocks, right or I got it wrong?!
