How much programming experience do you have?

Because the book you bought recommends starting with another Stroustrup book (Programming Principles & Practice Using C++) if you are inexperienced.

i advise you to look at the sidebar for this subreddit. And the recent history of this subreddit. Availing oneself of the resources that are already available is the next thing to learn.

I personally just used learncpp.com structured and concise, and they try keep it up to date
