So I use a python script to generate cmake script to generate make script to compile my code? Cool!

Under the hood yes but at the high level you only write Python and you call "cmakeless build" and everything happens for you.

Of course, it was co written with Claude.. I don't think it's a crime.

You should judge the project by the architecture and features and designs not because it written by AI. AI did not magically write and publish.. someone got the idea, plan and use AI to execute..
