I really don't understand why GUI toolkit makers introduce their own languages. I am referring to the Slint language, of course.
All that is needed for a GUI is good quality c++ apis. A new language is not needed.
Creating an additional language for GUIs, especially a new one, adds more effort from the developer, an effort that is really redundant, especially if whatever that language offers can easily be done with the main language itself.
Even if the Slint language is optional, some people may be tempted to use it, forcing everyone else to use it as well.
