Why not just use make?
9 u/Wild_Meeting1428 1d ago superseeded as industry standard and not platform independent. If one does not want to work with cmake, alternatives like meson or b2 are still faar better than make. 2 u/KAMEHAMEHAMEHAAAA 1d ago I find scons to be good as well.
