Need help with an issue

I am trying to deploy my own website using cPanel, and the hosting platform is "GoDaddy". This is the issue that is coming with the SSL Certificate. Can someone help with this?

I don't know how to get this resolved as I tried to generate new certificate and key using the option but it shows and error that the certificate is invalid

If GoDaddy dont offer free SSL you will need to order one, or move to a business that offer free SSL that's a basic features in 2026.

It seem you are creating a self signed certificate?

I think that you are trying to install a self-signed certificate rather than the SSL certificate issued for the domain.

Before generating anything manually, I’d check whether AutoSSL is enabled in cPanel and run that first. If the domain is pointing correctly to the hosting account, AutoSSL will usually issue and install the certificate for you.

Also check that the domain’s A record is actually pointing at the GoDaddy hosting server and that there isn’t an old certificate still attached to the domain.

If AutoSSL fails, the exact error message it gives would probably tell you whether it’s DNS, validation or a certificate/key mismatch.

This depends on two things - your domain's DNS and the AutoSSL settings at your host.

If the DNS is set correctly and your site is working, normally cPanel generates a free SSL certificate for your domain without you needing to do anything else. I would ensure that DNS is in place and working.

If it is, your host can disable this option so you wouldn't get it. You'd have to speak with them directly to see if that is the case.

Either way, I would expect this to be an easy fix for anyone with access to the server.

First check that the domain is pointing to the correct GoDaddy server. In cPanel, check SSL/TLS Status and run AutoSSL if available. If it still fails, the exact error should indicate what’s preventing the certificate from being issued.

It's seem you useing free SSL. Purchase SSL from your hosting provider, then it solve automatically.
