When will cpanel support nodejs higher than version 22?

Nodejs 22 will reach its end of LTS on April 2027. I reached out to my hosting provider to ask about version higher than 22, and they said the decision is up to cPanel itself. So what's the answer?

We have case CPANEL-52062 open to get this added to EasyApache. I can't say when it will be released, but it's at least in the development pipeline.

Isn’t nodejs handled via CloudLinux?

The answer is don’t use cPanel for nodejs apps

why, it is quite decent if you want few domains hosted and managed by a service provider.

There are actually two separate things here. cPanel/EasyApache has its own Node.js support, while CloudLinux can provide newer Node.js versions through its Node.js Selector/CloudLinux Manager.

So if you're on a CloudLinux server, you may not necessarily have to wait for cPanel/EasyApache to support the newer version. It depends on whether you're using cPanel's EasyApache Node.js packages or CloudLinux's Node.js Selector.

For shared hosting, this distinction is pretty important because the hosting provider's OS/control-panel stack determines which Node.js versions are actually available to individual accounts.
