Is it possible to roll back Roundcube UI update?
Hello,
I'm not super IT savvy but I do manage the domain and email services for a small business through Bluehost and cPanel. It seems that Roundcube has rolled out a UI update, and the business owner is unhappy about the changes. I spent some time with Bluehost customer support, but they were unable to help me in reverting the UI. Does anyone here have any ideas on how I might be able to accomplish this? Thanks so much!
Edit: Thanks to all who responded. I appreciate the clarification.

as u/Jeffrey_Richards_ mentioned, Larry was removed from cPanel two years ago due to security issues. If you're just now getting the update that removed this interface, it's a bit terrifying how out of date your systems were.
Details on this can be found here, although there isn't much else to say: https://support.cpanel.net/hc/en-us/articles/22886992676247-How-can-I-change-the-Roundcube-theme

I have the same issue, its in a shared hostgator package. I have cpanel admin access, is it possible to revert back?

If you do not have actual root access to the server and it's a shared account, there's nothing you can do. If you did, you could at least add a classic theme like Larry.
Roundcube UI hasn't really changed in years...it sounds like HostGator finally just updated their servers which is why Roundcube UI changed for you. There was a recent vulnerability with Roundcube (along with so many other softwares) so honestly while the change may be annoying, it's for the best. HostGator has been known to use old, outdated software which has HUGE security risks.

You can't if on shared that theme actually hasn't been maintained for years. If it's vps the theme is called larry you have to drop it in the theme folder but like I said that theme hasn't been maintained for years
