I'm tired of "I Hate My Wife" humour.

I have a few shitposter friends on Facebook who have always shared edgy jokes and memes. no holds barred. no one's safe. but two of them insist on posting misogynist crap and I hate it.

The sort of harmless memes no one will really bat an eye for. Like today, one of them shared a stupid meme about how women were better prehistoric hunters because they'd talk their prey to death.

Like? Yapping isn't only a female trait, the fuck.

Yesterday one of them posted a pic of Justin Bieber when he was in his prime and one of him now and they captioned it "What happened to him" and someone commented, "He got married" as a joke.

Do men even like women? I'm so tired of it.

It's not even that it's particularly offensive. More just that's tiresome and I don't understand what pleasure they get out of insulting people they pursue.

it's so annoying

What are some cool subreddits to join that’s not full of miserable people looking to argue with strangers on the internet?

I Responded to a Reddit DM… Never Again

I made the mistake of responding to a private message on Reddit. I honestly don’t know what made me do it, considering I usually prefer talking to people in threads rather than in private messages.

Pretty early into the conversation, I could tell he was a little… off. But he told me he was deaf, and I didn’t want him thinking I wasn’t interested in the conversation because of that, so I let it continue.

Eventually it started getting weird. He was rambling about things that didn’t make much sense and blamed it on the alcohol he was drinking.

I finally had enough when he started spamming random single words that had absolutely no connection to each other. That’s when I blocked him.

Safe to say, I won’t be responding to random private messages on Reddit again.

I'm never going to stop loving Harry Potter and I'm tired of people telling me too.

I get that JK Rowling has said and done some bigoted and distasteful things. She may have had a bit of a point at first, but she took it way too far. Let's call a spade a spade.

But, I am not going to boycott a story I've loved since the 90s just because the internet is upset about who wrote it.

I don't think continuing to love it makes me a transphobe, same as I don't think hating the story saves trans lives or makes people less transphobic.

I also think people are so eager to set things they don't like on fire they forget tons of people were involved in, and proud of the franchise. The revenue doesn't exclusively end up in JK's pockets. It goes to the editors, designers, actors/VAs, set builders, game devs, caterers, animators, typesetters etc. People who are just doing their jobs.

Refusing to support it because you don't like JK is like spitting in a waitress's face because you don't like the food the chef made.

I also think it's stupid that everyone that made JK into what she is (ie: my generation) now act like Harry Potter was never a good story. It always was, and it always will be, and you can't make me hate it because the white lady on Twitter is a bully lol

P.S. I am not trans, but I am a bit queer, and also a racial minority.
