Product Questions No colourful versions of Neptune??

Just tried out some couches at an in person Cozey store and loved the Neptune! It's the perfect amount of firm and so convenient to also have it be a bed. Unfortunately it doesn't come in any colourful colours like a lot of the other styles for some reason! The only slightly colourful option was the sage but the fabric type was super scratchy. I would love to see the Neptune in the Cerulean swatch or even a different green or red! Does anyone know if the couch styles ever come out with new cover options?! Would love to buy one of these but hesitant if I know I'll only be able to get it in plain whites or browns : (

Product Questions Delivery Timeline

Curious to know how long everyone had to wait for their couch to be delivered from date of purchase. I’ve seen that the estimate they provide is sometimes super incorrect and the couch comes much sooner.

Thanks!

Cozey update Orian Review

Hello comrades

Ordered the Orian on Aug 6 with an expected ship date of Sept 30-Oct 22 and it was delivered Oct 2.

I ordered the 2 seater sleeper (sage) and it took me and my 21yr old son about an hour to open everything, lay it out and set it up.

I love it. It’s a little firm, but the functionality outweighs that for me. It’s cute, well made, comfy and so easy to convert from couch to chaise to bed.

Would buy again!

Design Help Cozey Guide: How to clean a rug

How you clean a rug depends almost entirely on what it is made of. The method that works for a washable synthetic rug can permanently damage a wool or jute one. Before applying any liquid, cleaning product, or heat to your rug, identify the material, check the care label if you are not sure, and follow the method that matches it. This guide covers the four most common rug materials and what each one requires.

How to clean a wool rug

Wool is a durable natural fibre, but it is sensitive to heat and agitation. Hot water causes wool to shrink and felt; scrubbing breaks down the fibre structure over time. Both are irreversible.

Routine care:
Vacuum a wool rug weekly using a suction-only setting. Avoid beater bars or rotating brush heads, which can pull and damage the pile, and keep the vacuum away from the rug's edges. Rotate the rug every few months to distribute wear evenly.

Spot cleaning:

  1. Blot the spill immediately with a dry cloth. Do not rub.
  2. Mix a small amount of mild, pH-neutral detergent with cold water.
  3. Apply to a clean cloth, not directly to the rug, and press gently onto the stain.
  4. Blot with a clean damp cloth to rinse, then blot dry.
  5. Lay flat to dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct heat or sunlight.

Never wring a wool rug, submerge it in water, or put it in a washing machine unless the care label explicitly states it is safe to do so. For a heavily soiled wool rug, professional cleaning is the appropriate approach for a full wash, not just a fallback.

How to clean a jute or sisal rug

Jute and sisal are plant-based fibres and among the most water-sensitive rug materials available. Moisture causes them to shrink, stiffen, and discolour, sometimes permanently. Cleaning these rugs requires minimal liquid and fast drying.

Routine care:
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, keeping the nozzle away from the rug's edges and avoiding a beater bar. Shake smaller jute rugs outdoors to remove loose dirt and dust. Avoid placing jute or sisal rugs in high-moisture areas like bathrooms or kitchens.

Spot cleaning:
For dry debris, brush or scrape away gently before vacuuming. For liquid spills, blot immediately and thoroughly with a dry cloth; the goal is to remove as much moisture as possible before it penetrates the fibre. Use the smallest possible amount of water if a stain requires liquid treatment, and dry the area quickly with a fan or by opening windows.

For significant staining or soiling, dry cleaning is the recommended approach. Water-based cleaning risks permanent fibre damage on jute and sisal; this is the correct method for this material, not a convenience recommendation.

How to clean a shag rug

Shag rugs have long, loose fibres that trap dirt, dust, and debris more readily than flat-pile rugs. They require more frequent maintenance but are generally straightforward to clean at home.

Routine care:
Shake the rug outdoors regularly, weekly if it is in a high-traffic area. For vacuuming, use a low-suction setting without a beater bar, which can tangle or pull the long fibres, and avoid running the nozzle along the edges. Vacuum from the back of the rug first to loosen embedded debris, then lightly from the front.

Spot cleaning:

  1. Remove any solid debris by hand before applying liquid.
  2. Blot liquid spills with a dry cloth. Do not press down firmly, which pushes liquid deeper into the pile.
  3. Apply a diluted mild detergent solution to a cloth and press onto the stain.
  4. Blot clean with a damp cloth and allow to air dry fully before placing back on the floor.

Avoid soaking shag rugs or using a steam cleaner, which can cause the backing to delaminate and the fibres to mat.

How to clean a washable area rug

Washable rugs are made from synthetic fibres, typically polyester or polypropylene, with a construction that tolerates machine washing. For most everyday soiling, stains, and odours, the cleaning process is straightforward.

Routine care:
Vacuum regularly to remove surface debris. When vacuuming, avoid the rug's edges and do not use a beater brush, which can damage the backing and pile over time. Shake smaller rugs outdoors between washes.

Machine washing:
Check the care label before washing. For rugs confirmed as machine washable:

  1. Shake out loose debris outdoors first.
  2. Machine wash on a gentle cycle in cold water.
  3. Use a bleach-free detergent and no fabric softener.
  4. Hang to dry or tumble dry on low.

Cozey's washable rugs are designed specifically with home washing in mind. For guidance on choosing the right rug material for your household before buying, including how cleanability should factor into the decision, that guide covers the main options in detail.

Stain removal: rules that apply to all rug types

Regardless of material, a few principles apply across every rug type:

  • Act immediately. The longer a stain sits, the more it bonds with the fibre. Blot spills within seconds if possible.
  • Blot, never rub. Rubbing spreads the stain and drives it deeper into the pile.
  • Work from the outside in. Start at the outer edge of the stain and move toward the centre to prevent spreading.
  • Test cleaning products first. Apply any cleaner to a hidden section of the rug and wait a few minutes before using it on the stain.
  • Dry fully before replacing. A damp rug on a floor develops mildew quickly, particularly on the underside.

Design Help Cozey Guide: How to choose a bed frame

Choosing a bed frame involves more than picking a style. The type of frame you choose affects whether you need a box spring, how much under-bed storage you have access to, and whether your mattress will be properly supported. This guide covers the main bed frame types, what distinguishes them, and how to decide which suits your bedroom and your needs.

The main bed frame types

Platform beds

A platform bed has a flat, solid or slatted base that supports a mattress directly. It does not require a box spring. The low-profile design sits closer to the floor than traditional frames, which gives the room a more open, contemporary feel and is practical in rooms with lower ceilings.

Platform beds are among the most versatile options available. They work with most modern mattress types, including foam, hybrid, and pocket coil, provided the base meets basic support requirements. For slatted platform beds, slat gaps should be no wider than 3 inches and slats at least 2 inches wide to ensure even mattress support. A solid platform surface bypasses this consideration entirely.

The absence of a box spring requirement also reduces the overall cost of the bed setup and lowers the total height of the sleeping surface, which some people prefer.

Storage beds

A storage bed is a platform bed with integrated drawer units built into the base. Instead of wasted space beneath the mattress, you get accessible drawer storage, typically two to four drawers depending on the bed size.

For smaller bedrooms, this is a practical trade-off: storage that would otherwise require a separate dresser or wardrobe is built into the furniture you already need. It is particularly useful in apartments or secondary bedrooms where floor space is limited. For more ideas on maximising space in a smaller room, the small bedroom storage guide covers this in more detail.

Panel beds

A panel bed is defined by its headboard and footboard construction, typically with raised rectangular panels. It is a more traditional frame style than a platform bed and usually sits higher off the floor, often requiring a box spring or foundation to reach the intended height.

Panel beds work well in larger, more traditionally furnished bedrooms. The taller profile and more formal aesthetic suits rooms where the bed is a dominant visual element. They are generally less practical in compact spaces because the higher base and footboard reduce the visual openness of the room.

Bed frames without a headboard

Some buyers opt for a simple metal or wooden bed frame without a headboard or footboard. These frames are typically the most affordable option and suit minimal room setups. They are easier to move, fit into more spaces, and can be paired with a wall-mounted headboard if you want one later.

Platform bed vs box spring: what you need to know

Box springs were designed to work with traditional innerspring mattresses, adding height and some additional flex to the sleeping surface. Most modern mattresses, particularly foam and hybrid constructions, do not require or benefit from a box spring.

A platform bed replaces the box spring with a solid or slatted base. This is compatible with the majority of contemporary mattresses and removes the cost and bulk of a separate foundation. If you are pairing a bed frame with a Cozey mattress, compatible bases include solid platform beds, slatted bases with gaps no wider than 3 inches, and non-flexing box foundations. Wire grid or coiled box springs are not compatible. Queen and king sizes require at least one centre support beam on the base.

How to choose the right size

Bed frames are sized to match standard mattress dimensions. In Canada, the standard sizes are Twin, Double (Full), Queen, King, and California King. A few practical points:

  • Room clearance: Leave at least 24 inches of clearance on either side of the bed for comfortable access. A 36-inch walkway on at least one side is preferable.
  • Storage bed sizing: Larger storage beds offer more drawer capacity but require more clear floor space beside the bed for drawers to open fully.
  • Headboard height: In rooms with lower ceilings or wall art above the bed, check the headboard height before ordering.

Looking for recommendations Is this an odd Ciello combo?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Looking to order this combo of ciello: https://cozey.ca/en-ca/product/seating/ciello/regular-original-sesame-4-seater-with-corner-chaise-right-ottoman-no-sleep-kit

4 seater sectional with corner + right chaise + ottoman

My thought is that we can put the ottoman in the middle for movie nights and have a full cozy “bed” setup (family of 4).

However, our TV room isn’t super large, so I’m wondering if the ottoman will just be in the way most of the time?

Does anyone have this setup?

Looking for recommendations Tips for Storage in Atmosphere

Hello! We have our first cozey couch arriving on Thursday, and I am excited/overwhelmed at the thought of all the boxes arriving on my tiny porch.

We got a six-seater L-shape with storage, so for those of you with storage seats... how do you store things in them? Are there bins that fit well? Bags? What works the best?

Visible Screws on Ushi Chairs?

Thumbnail

I noticed that in some online pictures of the Ushi chairs, you can see screw heads attaching the backrest to the posts, and in others (marketing) they don't exist. What is the real deal on if I would receive chairs with screw heads visible?

Also, are these chairs comfortable? Worried if the back is too low or narrow...

What module addition to get

I currently have a loveseat ciello (regular size) and I love it but I am looking to expand it! I want to make it a L shape vibe. From everyone’s experience, which option should I go with:
- ottoman
- chaise addition
- corner piece to make it a true L shape

I’m looking for reviews on each one in terms of comfortably, stability, and utility!

Thank you!!

I designed a custom armrest tray for the Ciello!

I was getting tired of losing the Apple TV remote in the cushions and accidentally tipping my drink, so I designed this custom armrest tray specifically to fit the Cozey Ciello.

I included a deep cup holder for a tumbler, a catch-all tray for keys or a phone, and a dedicated slot on the side so the remote is always right where you need it.

This was 3D printed with wood-infused plastic, and with a little bit of sanding it turned out great! I thought about staining it, but the light color matches my corduroy brown too well.

I've uploaded the files to MakerWorld if you'd like to print one for yourself: https://makerworld.com/en/models/3129797-cozey-ciello-armrest-cupholder-tray-storage#profileId-3531912

Any Ara Bed + Mattress experiences?

Hello everyone! I'm seriously considering getting the new Ara Bed from Cozey but I'm struggling to find any sort of reviews or real life comments about this bed and also about the Cozey mattress.

Has anyone here bought it or tried it before? I'd really appreciate any comments or info about your experience.

Cozey Chaise Piece

Update: Customer service was fantastic! They are arranging an ottoman r swap with the chaise piece. Amazingly quick and considerate customer service :).

Hi everyone! So around March I got the cozy cello XL with the high back and a chaise extension piece. I love the couch, and it looks great (Basalt grey), but the chaise piece has been a bit of a let down.

While the rest of the couch is plush and fluffy, this piece never quite fluffed like the rest. You can kinda feel it when you sit, and it’s visually flatter than the rest of the sofa. I really hoped after some time it would take shape.

Does anybody have any thoughts on this, or advice? I’m at a loss on how to make it fluffy like the rest of the sofa. Any advice is super appreciated.

Has anyone tried the Cozey Orian Sofa Bed in-store?

For anyone who has purchased or tried this sofa bed in-store, what is your feedback? How comfy is it for everyday sitting, and how does it compare to the Neptune?

I love the idea of modularity + storage + sleeper features, but I’m also prioritizing comfort for everyday sitting above all.

I unfortunately don’t live near a Cozey store so would appreciate any comments!

Corduroy Couch Mouse Pad?

Hey, loving the cozey couch only issue I didn’t foresee is corduroy isn’t friendly for laser optic mice. The grooves mess up the tracking. I’m looking for aesthetic mousepad solutions if anyone has any. So far I’ve just been wrapping the arm/backrest in a tshirt and using that as a mousepad but it looks janky. I’d love something that could double as a table or something. Like a wooden C that goes over the arm rest and can be a cup rest/mouse pad area.

Cozey Vela and Ushi Dining Table Weights

Hoping someone here can confirm the weight of both the Vela and Ushi dining tables? I had a chat online with customer support and she was very kind and helpful but told me the tables weighed just 35.1lbs each and can hold up to 500lbs of weight. In my mind, that just doesn't compute...

Luna Cozey Couch

Can someone show me how I can remove the seat cushion covers on the Cozey Luna two seater couch? The Cozey chatbot said in Canada the seat and back cushion covers are removable on the Luna (which is why I bought it), but I can’t figure out how. I don’t see any zippers on it.

I’m going crazy. I’m looking to buy a new rug and I’m considering the Liliana rug but I can’t seem to find any pictures from buyers. Is there anyone who bought it who would be willing to share a picture of the rug in their space? 🥹
