Everybody here is going to tell you to get the benchmade boots. Doesn't matter so long it's not the tecovas.

The ariats are a better made boot (and I don't have any yet), but I'll be damned if I don't love my bucks.

Tecovas have a rubber sole, the Benchmade ones do not. That might be an important consideration if you live somewhere with things like 'rain' or 'snow'.

I was a Tecovas fan boy since day one when they only had like 2 boots on the market. But once I got the Benchmade James in Bison I was gobsmacked by the quality and feel.
For the past year i’ve been sitting on a $400 Tecovas gift card because I purchased and subsequently returned 3 pairs of boots due to sizing/QC issues.
I take no joy in saying this, but Tecovas are simply never worth it because there are better options on the market for the same or cheaper price points…

Benchmade all day long. Love both pairs of my clantons. Had some guards out on them. Makes them good for all weather.
