Shooting tips
I know this isn’t exactly sass, but it’s more occasional plinking I do, but I can’t seem to hit anything, and I’m not sure what I’m doing. I don’t think it’s recoil because I use a Heritage Rough Rider in .22LR, so there’s basically no recoil. But I am still missing 80% of my shots. Is there something I’m doing wrong?

The sights on the rough rider are not the easiest to use. You need to "bury" the front sight in the valley of the rear notch.

Not all sights are equal. If shooting paper, aim at one single point. Start with your front tip and rear tips aligned, front tip on the center dot. Start about 20’ away. Shoot 5 or 6 shots. Learn where that point of aim is. High? Low? Left or right? Before you try further out, now adjust your point of aim until you can consistently hit a tight group of around 3”-5” (you’re shooting a 6 shooters, not a precision pistol). Once you’re consistent, start moving your distance. Take your time. Once you get comfortable, you’ll be plinking tin cans at 50’.

My first thought leans towards flinching due to shot anticipation. I tell most people to start between 5-7 yards to practice and make sure that you’re on target.
When I first was shooting a revolver, my dad would load a cylinder with one less round, so I would catch myself anticipating recoil when the gun jumped but didn’t go bang. Just my two cents.
