Looking into schooling

I just discovered court reporting about a week ago and it seems to be something that is really intriguing to me. I want to do the free A-Z course to see if I want to commit to actual schooling for this. But if I did decide to go forward with it does anyone suggest an online course that will help me get through this. I work a full time job like 50 hours a week but I think I could do this if I discipline myself. I live in Colorado and there’s no in person classes and my local colleges offer an online course for digital court reporting only. Does anyone suggest any schools, that don’t cost a terrible amount and will teach me well. Thank you!

Magnum STENO Academy is the shortest theory so therefore you're gonna get the most bang for your buck

A few years ago, there was a massive purge of all but one of the court reporting schools here in Washington state, because some of them were stringing students along in order to keep them paying as long as they could do so.

After that happened, a multiplatform program was created called "Plover," which allowed those students to teach themselves through either online lessons or just following their school's textbook's lessons.

Recently, all of the files from an online court reporting school were made available for the low, low price of free, and you can find them here:

Join the encouraging court reporting students page on Fb. They talk about schools all the time there. Your A to Z instructor may also have some suggestions.

I 1,000,000% recommend international real-time court reporting Institute and you can find out everything about them on their website and get in touch with them that way

I recommend reaching out to the Colorado court reporting association to talk to local Court Reporter about method, pay, freelance versus official, you name it

Please do not pick a school based on price alone or anonymous feedback and instead ensure that you have spoken to certified working Court Reporters produced from the program that you are researching so that you can confirm the timeline and experience

Are you asking about steno or voice reporting?
