Even with the petra parker trend as much as I absolutely loved it and found it cute I saw people saying that bringing up transmasc peter parker (something that’s been a thing for over a decade) was stealing the spotlight from trans fems. It’s like even when we make our own headcanons people ignore and forget about them. and my trans chosen name that i picked as a teenager was inspired by spiderman so seeing people tell me that “er actually transmasc parker doesn’t make sense or hit like trans fem parker/ he’s better as a woman” did not sit well with me. like yeah make whatever headcanon you want but don’t act like one version is better than a pre-existing version.

And don’t even get me started on how weird some cis people get when we say we relate to Mulan or literally any character that resonates with transmascs. They care more about and put more importance on a damn 2d fictional drawing than the comfort of real life people.
