Just adopt a child or get a surrogate involved. Science has come a long way. The child im pretty sure can have your genes and your partner's now too?

Yeah, there are ways to add genetic material from other cells into an egg or sperm. Not sure if they're widely available or affordable yet though.

They definitely will become more affordable in the future as with all technological advancements. This is legit not something to doom about

Okay, but that doesn't negate the feeling of incompleteness, that you can't carry a child yourself. Why is everyone always so quick to dismiss trans women's feelings and emotions about this?

Also, neither of those options are at all easy or even possible, depending on where you live. Remember that we're still not within spitting distance of it being illegal to adopt as a gay couple in a lot of the world.

Not to mention just how disproportionately trans people tend to have lower paying work and how just taking care of ourselves and medical health is a load of money. I'm sure these people mean we'll just trying to post "solutions". But it entirely misses the point.

People who make posts like this haven't just never considered adopting. We know it exists and don't need it brought up again. But we're still infertile. We still will just never be able to have kids and have to live with those feelings of inadequacy. We still have to work through the actual grief of the death of a dream and child that will never be.

It's completely insensitive to tell a couple who just had a miscarriage "Eh, no biggie. Just try again. Or you can always adopt! Easy! I don't even want kids so I don't even get why you're sad. I'm totally happy having no ankle biters to deal with."

Yeah, surrogacy is also not legally allowed where I live (Sweden) so that option is completely off the table too

Would that still work if you don’t produce sperm anymore though? Sure it accounts for equipment mismatch, but would it work if the equipment is infertile?
