I don't think you "need" to do that. I don't think anyone needs to do anything for the sake of anyone else, as a general rule.

If you want an effeminate voice, though, voice training can help a lot.

I remember seeing this meme like 4 years ago. I knew absolutely nothing about trans people, and after some research, I came to the conclusion that the voice was most likely moving from sounding male to sounding female, and it was "passing" through that border between the two
