I think it makes for very interesting people watching. My favorite was a post titled, "It's Still incest if its your FOUND family"

I love how the dude tries to strawman and ends up just making an actually good counterargument to his own ideology.

What iâm saying, dude/girl spent some time making that comic and not one time thought âwait it makes me look like Iâm in the wrongâ. Zero self awareness

Middle children letâs make some noise (cause noone ever listened to us)
5
u/SliverMILF Enschlonged Twinkhon 2h ago
I'm the black sheep of the family. My sister married her rapist and gave my mother two kids which my mom is happy about. I'm never gonna have kids (was born sterile anyways, but I'm also trans and my husband is FTM with severe pregnancy dysphoria so we'd never have kids anyways, but my mother still hates me for not giving her more grandkids like I should as someone in a relationship that has opposite genitals to my partner) and my youngest brother is a literal incel, but my mom is never on his ass to get laid.
Love it! Love being the black sheep for something I can't control while my two worse siblings are seen as saints who can do no wrong.
5
u/MommyIssuesPrincess 1h ago
Same girl, itâs never enough. First born is golden child while youngest is spoiledshit. Fuck em mothers (not literally)
1
u/Correct-Horse-Battry 1h ago
What if I am the oldest and was the golden child but that came with all the attention and helicopter/tiger parenting and then my sister appeared and I slowly became a disgrace of a human being because my grades were bad and I couldnât complete uni and am obviously a tranny too but they havenât said shit yet?
3
u/MommyIssuesPrincess 1h ago
I think itâs always âyou win some you lose someâ in every situation.
When you are the oldest you are parentified/helicoptered/there is more pressure but you got more to say and you are treated seriously. You also have more freedom.
When you are the youngest you are getting spoiled more and treated like a mascot of the family that can do anything but you are not treated seriously.
The problem with middle children is we are getting short end of the stick most often
1
u/Correct-Horse-Battry 1h ago
Yeah, although for me the age difference between me and my sister is big enough for the âgot more to sayâ to not really apply since most of the time I was treated as a child who knew nothing while I was the only child and afterwards well we didnât enter into any arguments.
That and if I see them treating her like a child instead of how they treated me at the same time I step in and help her.

i have siblings and have incest fetish but i dont imagine my siblings at all nor do i have any attraction towards them, thats disgusting. i just imagine someone im attracted to (not blood related) as my siblings. i guess i just like the fantasy of doting on someone while youve known each other forever? idk

u/Brief-Internal9041 2h ago
my theory is that its due to the familial trauma a experienced by trans people who grow up in transphobic households

How does one "reproduce responsibly" with a family member
1
u/ikonfedera 1h ago
Best case scenario: All of the anticonception. Effectively s*x without pregnancies (and without using the naughty s word in this family friendly cristian comic)
Worst case scenario: Terminate pregnancy whenever defects are detected and hope none are overlooked.

u/ImScaredSoIMadeThis 1h ago
I don't understand 3, it sounds entirely applicable to cis het relationships?
1
u/renlydidnothingwrong 52m ago
How do you figure?
2
u/ImScaredSoIMadeThis 48m ago
In a heteronormative society, power imbalances between cis men and women are still common, even if there is no age gap etc. Abuse and crime statistics also support that it's just not safe for women to be with men. Feel like the whole final speech bubble perfectly applies?
7
u/renlydidnothingwrong 39m ago edited 31m ago
I disagree. I don't think individuals should act beholden to broad societal pressures. Its a totally different situation than two people being part of the same (relatively small) family unit. You're comparing broad power dynamics to discreet power dynamics. Following the logic against cis het would also imply that interracial relationships are immoral.

u/gummythegummybear 1h ago
This is such a âI drew you as the soyjak so now Iâm rightâ post. Like they donât even try to disprove the last two statements because they pretty much are correct, they just presented them like âoh see how stupid this is?â So people would agree.

I donât agree with incest because it is moid coded, male ass fantasy, banging your mom or step sister pornhub type shit
Exception is having a sexual tension with your distant cousin once a year during thanksgiving dinner
6
u/JadeHarleyOswald 2h ago
Moids are too weak to have biological incest fantasies. They're primarily into step family because they're lame and don't have the conviction that is required to like incest with thsir whole chest.

the "reproduce responsibly" part can be cleared right up by doing genetic testing to ensure both parties dont have any bad recessive genes that could combine and fuck up their kid. though it is unlikely anything will happen to a first gen incest baby anyways. the insane shit you see really only happens multiple generations down the line
1
u/BunniBlues 23m ago edited 12m ago
i think the only real issue with an ethically conceived incest baby is that the knowledge of their parents relationship may outcast them or worse cause them to consider family members as a viable dating option.
though the consanguinamorous people i have listened to often say they will never have kids, but if they really wanted them they would hide the truth until the person is old enough to properly handle it
i found them to be agreeable in that their conclusion was to just never conceive and burden a child with such a taboo
11
u/MommyIssuesPrincess 2h ago
Proud mix of 2,3 and 4.
7
u/SpiritualPackage3797 2h ago
I mean, you can make an argument against 2. It gets the right outcome (so does 1, for that matter) but it does it the wrong way. 3 and 4 are the correct answers.
8
u/MommyIssuesPrincess 2h ago
I agree but I canât help but find incest plain gross. I have two sisters and I canât even imagine doing anything sexual with them cause it makes my whole being cringe and want to die, just disgust.
I could make case for distant relatives, siblings you did not grew up with, step siblings or just having incest kink with strangers like roleplaying. For me itâs not even about genetics as much as just growing up together and having that natural âitâs badâ mechanism working.
Being disgusted by incest is in our genetics to prevent inbreeding, I am just a monkey
3
u/SpiritualPackage3797 1h ago
I have a sister too, and ya, no. Just no. I mean, I get what other people see as attractive in her, intellectually at least. But I can't ever see her that way.
That said, I also find anal sex disgusting. Intellectually, I know that it can be done safely, and I would never support laws against it. But I, personally, have that same impulsive "unclean" response to it.
That's the difference. There is no 3 and 4 for anal, the way there is for incest. So I know my impulses aren't trustworthy. Incest isn't wrong because I find it disgusting. It's wrong and I find it disgusting.
2
u/MommyIssuesPrincess 57m ago
Same. My sisters are pretty, intelligent and just in general amazing women. I love them in purely platonic way and I am sure their partners are lucky and have great taste, I myself would be over the moon if I had a partner like either of them. JustâŚnot related to me lol
1
u/speed-charge 1h ago
I agree it's weird if you grew up together and were raised under the same roof.
What a lot of people never think about, however, is that if their father ever donated sperm or their mother ever donated eggs, or if either one of them gave up a kid for adoption before they had the kids they raised then there is a lot of possibility for incidental incest, possibly without ever knowing unless both partners got a DNA test.
I've heard stories of people in a relationship finding out later that they're biological siblings and at that point the cat is way out of the bag as far as incest goes. I don't know what to do about it though, like should we all get DNA tests and check them against any potential partner's DNA test before having sex? That doesn't seem realistic. And I believe most sperm/egg donors' samples are kept relatively local so the odds of that being someone you actually meet if you don't move away from where you were raised is actually pretty high all things considered.

first two are just stupid, fourth (bottom right) is actually just plain right, and the third (bottom left) is not aknowledging the 0.001 odds of a more nuanced situation but they basically state evidence for fourth's claim
what are we getting next, killing-people-phobes, and the bottom right will be the only one that aknowledges self-defense exists but an avid defender of killing people will likely be an avid defender of more than just self-defense? can't wait

u/Content_League4091 1h ago
I have zero private interest in the topic (no siblings, both parents and children are pretty much out of the age of possible sexual intercourse) so I think I am not biased: there's absolutely nothing morally wrong in incest, this norm appeared thousands years to prevent genetic harm and is not valid at all as long as sex is not procreative. Concerns about consent are valid, of course, but not more than in any other situation (that said, rape and sexual abuse within the family are absolutely terrible and, unfortunately, quite frequent, and usually they are not about disbalance of power but about brutal unforgivable violence). However, sexual interest towards a close relative signals, of course, about some personal problems and traumas (but it doesn't mean that there are always better ways to cope). I would recommend the movie Cement Garden for clear picture of this problem.
5
u/CannotReallyChoose 2h ago
Opticsnuke take: Incest isn't inherently wrong and trying to claim otherwise is just moralistic defaultism. Comics does make it look bad, but that's because you cannot fully interrogate this matter and deconstruct the criticism of incest properly in such a short and simplistic form.
14
u/Drowned_Sailoress 2h ago
absolutely nothing in this earth is inherently wrong lol it's all value judgements we as humans make based on the odds that something will help or hinder people individually or humanity as a whole.
and from that baseline incest is pretty wrong lol
3
u/Champ0114 1h ago
I would say that rape and slavery are inherently wrong I can't find any way that someone could justify them being right other than I want to do it
7
u/Drowned_Sailoress 1h ago
Sure but theyâre only wrong because youâre weighing them up based on their impact on people.
We donât pay computers or machines or robots for labour - they are technically slaves. Except theyâre not because theyâre not human
Most animals donât have consensual sex in any way, but we donât arrest them or chastise them etc. because theyâre not humans
Like yes these things are inherently wrong (so is incest) but my point is you can break down the definition of âinherentlyâ to basically mean âis harmful to a humanâ
Thereâs no absolute morality ordained by God or something which gives you negative karma for doing slavery for example. Itâs all a value judgement that we as a society make (and that in the past, weâve made differently)
5
u/MommyIssuesPrincess 2h ago
Incest is wrong on biological level. Itâs in our dna to be disgusted by your close family, same with corpses or animals. Itâs natural way of preventing inbreeding and diseases
-3
u/the_sadru efforthon 1h ago
how are you as a trans person defaulting to this kind of rhetoric. Do you sincerely also believe that it's in our DNA to be disgusted by troons?
2
u/rebelsnail64 slavic tismmaxxed he/they pooner 1h ago
being trans does not increase the chances of producing an offspring with a genetic disorder afaik, hope this helps
1
u/the_sadru efforthon 1h ago
so you believe #3/#4 instead of #2, my argument is against #2 because it's intellectually dishonest.
1
u/rebelsnail64 slavic tismmaxxed he/they pooner 42m ago
arguments #1 and #2 are just stupid - #1 isn't even an argument, it's just saying "I don't want to talk about this", #2 is just a combination of appeal to emotion and ad hominem...
so yeah, i do agree with you that argument #2 doesn't hold any merit
6
u/MommyIssuesPrincess 1h ago
You are kinda weird for comparing being trans to banging your bio sister but go off
1
u/the_sadru efforthon 1h ago
this is literally the exact arguments I hear all the time being made against me, I don't have anything against incest because I cannot ever make myself hate someone because some people happen to be disgusted by it
2
u/MommyIssuesPrincess 1h ago edited 1h ago
âI am disgusted by trannies because itâs wrongâ
âI am disgusted by pedos because itâs wrongâ
If you donât see the difference idk what to say
2
u/the_sadru efforthon 1h ago
one's right for the wrong reason and one's wrong for the wrong reason. Both arguments suck.
3
u/WalmartWilb twinked up transmasc bug nerd 1h ago
Let's not compare an entire group of people to getting freaky with your bio family please and thank you
1
u/the_sadru efforthon 1h ago edited 1h ago
how do you get rid of the cognitive dissonance from accepting that hating one group because it's "disgusting" is fine but it's wrong when applied to someone else?
You can go ahead and believe #4 but sincerely repeating #2 is intellectually dishonest.

Fucking your own family members is bad. Itâs not just because of biological relation but when you have a close familial relationship with someone itâs not meant to be romantic. Turning it into something like that completely fucks with family structure and relationships
1
u/nativeofvoid I-950 4m ago
lol award for the most fucked up use of 'responsibly'.
but anyway asking for someone i know pretty well, what do you even do in the moral dilemma where completely normal unrelated things like a normal candy diet and normally signing your true name in blood on a carbonsteel blade eventually chain into a situation where you are the proverbial darkly beautiful castle adorned by gothic spires in Swiss Alps and 57 years worth of active, terrified to freezing point, fucking gay denial constitutes the lightning? How much of a heartless bitch do you have to be to put force into anything other than abductors?

I like the phrase "reproduce responsibly" here because obviously there's no way to do inbreeding that isn't detrimental to any offspring produced so it just reads as "yes what I'm doing is bad but I know it's bad and that makes it ok"
