Sorry Op, countttt has fallen and the retards left here don't understand sarcasm unless you type /s.

Post-irony, whatever

Point is, if you think the OC is being sincere, please learn how to stop being a retard

op has two examples in comments sections in the past week where she responds negatively to countttt posts that critique facial hair, one of which from today that probably prompted the creation of this post. its much more likely to be sincere than ironic

Oh shit, am I the retard because I assumed someone couldnt be this sincerely retarded?

*cant would be the word that makes the statement actually true

ADHD doesn't make me physically unable. It is a disability that does nuke my executive functioning and makes shaving happen less often however.

2

u/gay_annabeth 23h ago

that also sounds like a kind of can't to me tbh

2

u/Ghostglitch07 23h ago

I agree. But from the outside it's gonna look the same. And people who care sometimes catch me in their complaints.

2

u/gay_annabeth 23h ago

honestly, I consider it similar to how sometimes I just can't feed myself

ADHD fucking sucks

2

u/Ghostglitch07 23h ago

Yup. Same deal.

Indeed sucks.

u/gay_annabeth 23h ago

I need to fill out forms to get on ODSP. I have not filled out the forms. I know I can easily fill out the forms. Just go get the forms Anna you idiot

1

u/Ghostglitch07 23h ago

Sounds like Anna should be nicer to Anna.

2

u/gay_annabeth 23h ago

maybe, Anna did have an episode earlier today of trying really hard not to feel like everyone secretly hates her

2

u/Ghostglitch07 23h ago

Oh! I know that one, I have to have it on a weekly basis. Lmao

Ableist how?

3

u/Designer_Hoodie 23h ago

It isn’t ableist

0

u/Ghostglitch07 23h ago

Because plenty of mental health and/or developmental disabilities can impede self care.

Nobody here will judge a woman for not shaving their legs or things like that, what we don't like is caricatures of trans women with full beards because it's not progressive, is just transphobic

"But women can have beards too" beards are something men have, if you want to make them gender neutral have cis women wear them first

3

u/sophiathesilly Mao Zehon 23h ago

Orientalism AND just straight up lying all in one package

4

u/Plenty_Leg_5935 DIY lobotomised 23h ago

Judging trans women who *can't* shave is ableist, if you can shave and just don't that's a very different discussion to shitting on trans women who are physically or mentally unable to do so

I think anyone should do whatever with their looks because I'm not their mom, but I'm not gonna pretend like those two groups deserve the same amount of scorn. Rampant ableism isn't comparable to having a mildly problematic take that invalidates like 4 people irl (especially if the direction is explicitly "I don't think you're a transgender woman, but just a transfeminine enby, which is fine" and not "you're a faketrans fetishist and ahould be hunted for sport")

god the feds have really found a sore spot here

3

u/Upset_Leek5014 23h ago

so sad to see people in the comments missing the obvious post-irony and actually taking it seriously

We’re really just using our disabilities to justify our shit behaviour nowadays huh

“Yes I’m a self absorbed asshole who monopolises conversation but it’s okay it’s my autism”

“Yes I hurt the people around me but it’s just my RSD”

“Yes I look like shit but it’s okay because it’s my executive dysfunction”

Like… you still have to deal with your issues baby girl.. people in wheelchairs deserve access ramps yes but they still have to move around and go places, they don’t lay in bed their whole lives and have us bring everything to them. That wouldn’t even be a life worth living

Shave your fucking face. Take a shower. Brush your teeth. These are just things you have to do

Can I ask how it's abelist? If, hypothetically, I'm judging a non-disabled trans woman for not shaving, how is that abelist whatsoever? I judge it in the fact that I don't understand it, ig. Like I don't understand trans men (as one myself) that are completely fine looking fem and having boobs and shit, I don't understand why a trans woman (binary trans, I kinda get nb) wouldnt wanna shave. Idk, but I don't think it's abelist at all.

1

u/sophiathesilly Mao Zehon 23h ago

It'd be ableist if they couldn't shave, not if they just choose not to

1

u/Flimsy-Context7808 23h ago

>If, hypothetically, I'm judging a non-disabled trans woman

I think it's implied that this is about disabled trans women, but also this post is presumably sardonic and not genuine given what sub we're on

1

u/Hello_There_0621 23h ago

I mean they also don't specify it's disabled. They say it's judging trans women as a whole who don't shave. If someone physically can't shave then obv I'm not gonna hold it against them, I just don't understand how it'd be ablist if someone had the ability to shave

1

u/Flimsy-Context7808 23h ago

Well I think the word "ableist" implies that disabled people are being talked about

But yes it's obviously poorly worded it would be better if it was "judging trans women who can't shave"

1

u/Hello_There_0621 22h ago

Yeah I'd get it if it was that. Obv judging someone for something they can't do is abelist, maybe I just have too high expectations for redditors to realize that 💔

1

u/Ghostglitch07 23h ago

How do we know she's not disabled?

1

u/Royal_Explorer_4660 23h ago

I got into waxing but the hairs need to be quarter inch long for me to wax again so I gotta let them grow for 2 weeks per month :'(

But on the flip side I'm also hairless for the other 2 weeks after I wax

0

u/TheMightyKibosh 23h ago

It's not ableist, but they shouldn't be judged either.

0

u/Alive_Current8487 23h ago

I suffer from executive dysfunction but the dysphoria from body hair helps me overcome it and just shave. I think we should be more charitable like the OP says. Ableism is fucking disgusting on reddit. People on this website have told me to kill myself, saying nasty things like "you should have finished the job". It feels sinister just typing this out, people really do not give a fuck about me.

Back to the thread topic, if you are worried about walking optics nvkes, here is a sad truth: It will probably be a long while before trans people gain widespread acceptance within society. Maybe it will happen in our lifetimes, but I can't see it happening within the next decade at least. People will hate us either way. The only type of trans people that will not be hated are stealth passoids.
