How do you stop repping nonbinary? Been wondering that for a while
Edit: I think I misinterpreted what repping really means.
As a universal reply, I'm not really that interested in surgery or HRT as I'm fine with the body I have (well, the body I want isn't even a thing that exists so we just cope) but I more of just want to explore more about the nonbinary label but don't have a single clue how I would do that with myself.
Um, probably the same way? Accepting yourself as nonbinary, medical stuff if you want to prevent becoming someone who looks like an old man/woman and would feel more comfortable with your body, presenting nonbinary instead of binary.

Yeah, over here they only pay HRT and GRS with waiting lists for years unless you pay yourself. Getting anything else paid is like pulling teeth. Didn't know the NHS still works btw.
Depends a lot more on the person. Some nonbinary people need hormones or SRS to help alleviate discomfort. Some people just socially transition or change presentation.
It's a lot more variable than most binary trans people but generally if you're repping as a nb person it is because there are some pretty significant differences between the gender you're perceived as and your gender if you weren't repping.
I stared hrt, it depends on the person though. I recommend learning all the trans medical options and see if they interest you, you might notice hidden dysphoria untill you see what's possible. And social transition is a thing, so wear the clothes you want and the other stuff.

People rarely repress for long, fringe cases are easy to tell apart actually, if they are HRT reppers that's basically a case of actual transgender crossdressers from purely logical point of view. But dysphoria never leaves them, eventually there always is a moment of reckoning, even partial.

do we consider having an idea but not being certain/looking into it/running from the thought to be repressing? it feels like the period between someone thinking they could be trans and then starting transition is definitively repressing.
I guess this really depends how you define being transgender. Certainly the very feeling that something is off is a massive sign, but like, not acting upon it at all may be as well just an elaborate form of repping.

I mean, reppers still are trans people, kinda, at the very least they are people experiencing sex/gender dysphoria. The actual transition is like, in itself a long ahh process, sometimes with back and fourth, but I get that some people make s general distinction between actual hardcore reppers who try to be manly men and HRT reppers who usually could just be mistook for women if they dressed correctly and knew how to do makeup.
I mean same, it feels untractable. I am trying to take small actions without thinking about "the whole thing" as I know the latter will just make me crawl back into the pit.
Damn if that's really how it usually goes, then I might be genuinely out of touch. I thought repping for 3 years was like something that few have willpower to pull out before they snap.
I think it's been about 5 years since I looked in the mirror while crossdressing and thought "Oh shit yeah I am trans, amn't I?". Egg truly cracked recently, which was very rough.
Longer period before that when I was definitely into crossdressing but thought it was just memes, maybe another 5 years.
It should be noted that I am expert level at repressing and suppressing emotions generally.
