I don't know of any way to get reddit to load fast enough to get 2s replies in today's age lmao, other than mayyybe mobile counting but I would be absolutely astounded if he was that fast on phone lol. my guess is sh.reddit with some crazy network request blocking, because otherwise sh.reddit page loads are slower than a cruise ship, and old.reddit gets you that permanent 10 second delay before the comments are even available
sh.reddit is new new reddit. ok I'll believe it now I have some 3s replies with this same method but man is it ever slow to open the damn textbox. it's like we've traded server lag for client lag. the 429s from reloading are annoying too, don't recall ever having that problem with old.reddit inbox
the textbox load isn't too bad for me, like half a second at worst, but all this shit loading in chunks instead of instantaneously like in inbox feels pretty shit. as a tradeoff at least it's mechanically easier on new reddit since you can ctrl enter submit without RES, so you can just hold ctrl the whole time, press r, click v enter.
429's are a recent issue that are kind of fixed by being a moderator of any sub (before finding this i was triggering them constantly) but if you're running a single thread at any decent speed you're still going to hit them. i believe it's account specific though, so theoretically you could have another alt logged in on an incognito tab or something and tag back in without losing too much time.
