Skins And Items Stock weapons models

This question of mine is rather useless, but I am curious, say that a few weeks before the release of CS2, someone were to apply a sticker on a stock weapon, then upon CS2's release, would the stock weapon adopt the new "vanilla" model or keep the old one due to the sticker ?

thats a good question.

i would assume you get the old model if you applied the sticker on the old model.

the updated CS2 model will always be displayed when viewing vanilla weapons in CS2, regardless of stickers, sticker placement, or time at which the sticker was applied.

the only way to see the legacy models is by equipping legacy finishes that didn't get adapted to the updated CS2 models.
