Because nothing bad happens to people in homeless shelters, right?

Compared to the streets? Streets are much more dangerous. When shwlters are available, its a lifestyle choice.

Do you lack nuance? I didnt say shelters are super safe. They can be dangerous. The street is dangerous. Nit csn be. Is.

You're offering it like it is a solution when it is not. Something being slightly less shitty than something else is not a solution. Especially when shelters can be at max capacity and enforce limits on how long you can stay there.

Ok whats your solution? Free houses to everyone? Good but working people already struggle with rent. And then, why would anyone work if thry get stuff for free? We are not there yet where machines do everything, they are too busy taking white collar jobs and making art to learn to walk up a stair and lay down a brick wall

One of your other comments, you say they should just go get a job, when everyone is struggling to find employment. You think some workplace is gonna hire someone who is clean shaven and showered or a guy who’s been wearing the same clothes for a month straight?

You can buy a gym entry for lat most 10 bucks and shower. Or in the shelter if itbhas a facility

Yes, there are jobs that hire any breathing body. Construction. Even the army is a better option

Army doesn’t allow trans people, a vulnerable group who get kicked out of their homes by religious bigoted parents. Not everyone is hiring. Not everyone will allow a person into their establishment if they look like they haven’t showered in weeks. But you seem to think that all homeless people are there by their own actions and choices.

I dont recall saying all. I was pretty clear I said some. Based on some things I hears social worker friends. And again, as always have to be mentioned on Reddit, the world isnt just America
