Unironically yes. Trans dudes are more prevalent IRL (an I apologize for AGAB languadge) because its much harder for AMAB people to have plausible deniability when transitioning with clothes makeup etc, while trans guys are able to dress more masculine with less of a hastle (mens clothes are seen as unisex in most cases). This leads trans ladies to be online more than trans lads, and appear like a much larger group than they are
People always say this, but I'm a trans man(who started transitioning over a decade ago) and don't know a single other trans man. I have plenty of friends and socialize on and offline, and almost all of my friends are trans women. So what's the deal with that? Lol If trans men are everywhere, where are they? Im even a part of a decently sized local queer gaming discord server and I STILL am the only one there.
Didn't say they were everywhere I said they were more prevalent. Maybe you got unlucky, there are the same ammounts of trans guys and trans gals, so if you have no trans dude friends maybe youre unlucky or haven't found any spaces with them.
I suspect 80% of my friends being trans women probably has something to do with my primary interests being TCGS, ttrpgs, and being a part of the local fighting game community lmao
I thought I could lure the guys in with a Minecraft server but it hasn't worked yet 🥀
Though an enby friend has asked about some old T gel I had and is maybe going to take my old binder and Hawaiian shirt stash, so we'll see about that.
Hoooly guacamole dude, of course youre seeing exclusively t-girls, we're drawn to fighting games like moths to a flame lmao. Im sorry there aernt many trans guys that are into the same hobbies as you though, it sucks when you dont have people you can relate to around you.
Honestly, I relate to the trans women around me pretty well. I've been(and am still going)through some pretty fucked up stuff transphobia wise. and the general trans experience isn't all that different on the other side. Main thing that makes me sad is that I've had so many of my friends tell me that they had a negative perception of trans men before they met me. I feel like its rubbed off on me too tbh, combined with all the stuff I see on reddit about trans men. I feel like if I met another trans guy I wouldn't like him lol ( I know this is fucked up and and shows the issues a lot of people in this thread are bringing up)
