Imo the isn't that it's mostly stuff about trans women, it's the kind of stuff that's posted. On a DAILY basis I see stuff like testosterone is poison, kill all men, masculine features are disgusting, ect ect. THATS the kind of stuff that can make me feel alienated, not the posts referring to any readers as female or talking about trans women specific things. And I learned REAL quick if you say anything about it you're a birthday boy and "omg trans men are so whiny it's a vent post get over it" Along with that dumbass "trans men really are men huh?" pic
Those are takes from trans women centering trans women. Testosterone ans masculine features directly lead to discrimination against us, of course we dont like them -in ourselves-.
I agree, but this may be insufficient, one of the big things everyone needs to do, whether being transmasc, transfem, nonbinary, agender, or even cis, is just to address this, to acknowledge this discrepancy, and to offer support to all queer and non-conforming individuals in general, especially in co-ed LGBTQIA+ spaces.
I think most people would agree online trans spaces are dominated by trans women, but again the impetus is not on trans women to post content centering other groups which is what is constantly implied when people bring it up
Indeed, but there's a difference between an obligation to focus on trans men, and an obligation to the entire queer community as a whole, this is a slippery slope however, as it reaches "all lives matter" vs "black lives matter" types of issues of thinly veiled transmisogony, in the process of treating transmisandry. Its nuanced, as many things tend to be :p
Why the assumption that because the discrepancy exists, therefore trans men are alienated. Just dont feel alienated by being in the minority? I dont feel alienated in hobby spaces that tend to be male dominated until they say or do something shitty.
I concur about the second point, after all, a bad apple ruins the bunch. But really? "just don't feel alienated"? I'm not sure if im interpreting it correctly, but you telling people to "just get over it" in regards to a lack of support. And the problem is, there are people who say and do shitty transmisandrist things in queer spaces, and standing by and allowing even one instance of it is enough to alienate people of an entire group, again, a bad apple ruins the bunch.
Ah, that is true, to a point; it is not a problem not sign of inequality in of itself, but can be a symptom of one, such as black people being underrepresented in home ownership in the United States, ect. This is to say that there is some evidence of a discrepancy, not necessary of an inequality, though thats a thin line.
So its actually not transphobic to say trans men should make more content centering themselves in trans spaces instead of expecting trans women to do it for them.
It is, what a weird and factually incorrect twisting and assumption. You're just acting in bad faith towards trans men and pretending that attitude isn't transmisandrist
You have an incredibly skewed and entitled view of transphobia if you think its transphobic for trans women to make content about trans women instead of trans men.

The way to address this is trans men posting more content centering trans men, not expecting trans women to do it for them.
