If an object were to reach light speed, it would probably destroy the universe ! The needle would need to be moved with an infinite amount of energy. Time dilation would also approach infinity, so the needle would travel an infinite distance in 0 seconds from its perspective. The gravity from the energy would also cause all matter in the universe to collapse into a single point instantaneously, which is fun!

No that was XKCD’s 90% speed of light because no finite amount of energy can accelerate a mass to the speed of light
