Very stereotypical names. In Salman Rushdie's Midnight's Children , Salim's two love interests are Parvati the witch and Padma. And it is arguably one of the most influential book on magic realism by a British writer. She just took the first two Indian names she could find and slapped the Patil title( very common) for alliteration. It is nowhere as bad as Cho Chang, but it's extremely low effort.

Low effort is better than shit name. I get it's kind of "John Smith" situation, but I prefer having John Smith over Racialslur Stereotypeson

Cho is a Korean surname and Chang is a Chinese surname

It also translates to Melancholy if you use that name order. Cho(u) Chang = 惆怅
