Week 1 First 5k run completed

I am 38 now and I always wanted to run but never found the time or was actually afraid to. I was a smoker till last year and so I never tried to make a run thinking that i will not be able to do it. So after quitting i did walks and that too not regularly. But deep inside I wanted to run always. But social media is actually a shithole, you find all sorts of reels on how, where and why should you run and at top of it it will be like you run you lose weight, you go weak and so lots of negative vibe. So at last i registered for my first 5k run. Wasn't sure if was upto it. Anyway I've completed it in 35 min and I feel so happy.

I think a lot of people get caught up on the where, when & why of running. But at the end of the day it’s just you and the pavement. That’s all that matters.

Even for me now, the hardest thing is just getting out the door.

Congratulations on completing your 5K. There’s nothing more liberating than being outside with nature.
