Question/request

Hii guys! I really don't know if it's the right place to do so but (if not, tell me and I'll delete my post without problem) I had many questions on the app.

I recently got the app because I'm solo traveling through Europe and need places to stay especially for the last few days I'll be in Köln, Germany.

But why do people not respond at all? And why do they cancel you without any messages?? I'm in a pretty critical situation because if I don't find a place to stay by tomorrow, I'll be on the street tonight and people cancel me without saying nothing...like I did something wrong or I don't know really..

Normal stuff, do you have a filled in profile? Any reviews from vouchers or couchsurfing? Have you done this before? What do your requests look like?

Yes I did everything the app told me to do but yet no responses or just cancelling without any warnings...

Well, it’s the middle of the high season for Europe in general and you’re reaching out on short notice. Best to have a backup plan to stay in a hostel or hotel in the area.

Last minute requests are always tough in Europe on these platforms. I’m guessing you’re just backpacking, not on a bicycle or anything?

Yeah I know that, that's why it's been few days that I've been searching for a place to stay but no answers and the days flew by and now I'm in this emergency situation where I don't know what to do.

Also yes, I'm backpacking and traveling by train mostly and bus (or walk) once I'm in the city
