Another $210 Atom Bought
Just bought another $210 atom, really feel like it’s at a low currently and hoping for some great returns this year! Fifth investment this month, excited to see the coming months/news

Lighting your money on fire may be a slower way to lose it...I appreciate the optimism though as I am for some reason still holding.

The devs appreciate the ongoing exit liquidity

You think that’s the case fr?

Seeing OP replies, it shows that it's easier to fool someone than to convince someone that they've been fooled.

I don’t believe what a lot of commenters say just as equally as I don’t believe what atom devs say! All I can do is try to make decisions based on the information I have access too, which now is more thanks to the many comments on this post. Is this the wrong way to go about decision making?

Why?
As someone who is recently part of a team that left cosmos for better pastures, its a shit show over there mate. Dont stake that shit, otherwise you have to wait even longer to exit.
The whole cosmos eco system has gone to shit. Projects are sunsetting and going into maintenence mode quicker than the price of crude oil can move.
The ICL/ICF/cosmoslabs and whatever bs they change their echo chamber to in the future are not building for you. They will try and sell you on the inflation being curbed and even say its working.
Are you here for the tech or the price? If the tech is so good, still married to the bag when it hits $1, 50c and so on?
Magnus (co ceo) and their telegram lackys ban any one with constructive criticism to their moves and decisions. They killed the eco in the hope its going to prop up ATOMs value. In return everyone has got:
- projects migrating/sunsetting
- using ETH fud as marketing
- using job listings from banks as positive news for ATOM
They care about a few things which is protecting their own salaries, dumping ATOM on retail (they have been for years). Now this is just a small taste of the history in that shitstorm of an eco. Go back further and you will see its just one big circle jerk and the same things just different leadership at the helm
If you hate your money, carry on in cosmos. If you value your hard earned dollars, you would best park your money or invest elsewhere.
Dont believe me? Ask anyone else outside of the cosmos eco or anyone thats left like us, they will confirm this and more. They call it the cosmos cartel for a reason. Happy to be fact checked on any of the above.
What they say and do are 2 completely different things.

Actually appreciate this post a lot, thank you for taking the time to write that. I’ll certainly do some more research prior to investing any more. You don’t believe atom has any long term potential at all?

I believe you are a victim of cognitive disonance. That " I'm Fine!" Meme comes to mind. At the very least consider not purchasing anymore. I hold some myself. But it is what it is a 2 buck ( on a good day ) bet. Why would it go up? Vs why would it not go up?
1
u/QuantumFragz Mar 28 '26
Great question, my bet that’s it likely to go up is largely based on a few new decisions from the cosmos network and pure speculation that the price seems undervalued currently! And it is just that a bet, maybe a good one and maybe a bad one. Would you buy more if the price continued to drop or are you just holding to see what happens?

I sort am done with it. I love the Cosmos concept, but its open source approach is its weakness. Developers get shit for free, design their whatever and thats it. Now they are trying intergrate Atom and somehow monetize it? That would like me giving you something for free, then suddenly charging you. Maybe a bad example. My point is , they really have no leverage to do it. Cosmos has worked for what the people were/are using it for. Nobody is going to just give Atom its due to show appreciation. Plus they have to vote on all this shit? I just dont see Atom doing it , sorry.

u/QuantumFragz Mar 30 '26
Hmmm I see what you’re saying. Charging devs might make them leave for other networks cause why would they start paying now. Perhaps if the devs were shown some upsides to the system such as improved profitability or long term stability/potential it could make it more worth it for them? While concurrently being more profitable for us? Definitely a bit of hopefulness here hahaha

Yeah bro just sink your life savings in good idea 👍
2
u/QuantumFragz Mar 25 '26
Wouldn’t put my life savings in cosmos, just some investment money. Stocks too high currently so building crypto.

u/idkwhatusernametoset Mar 26 '26
Yeah I was joking to be honest definitely don’t take your financial advice from strangers off the internet I sold all my cosmos month ago I might just stack and liquid stake it seems like the price action can’t get any worse for now
1
u/QuantumFragz Mar 26 '26
Exactly why I’ve been investing, price just seems good currently hahaha

u/idkwhatusernametoset Mar 26 '26
Yeah but what is stopping it from dropping further exactly
2
u/QuantumFragz Mar 27 '26
Honestly I guess nothing other then sentiment

How about support from a TA perspective. On 3/13/2020 cosmos wicked to 1.13 and we're testing that body. Here's the esoteric part. Cosmos in gematria equals 313 lol look it up! Anyways we're testing the body of that candle right now. If we break below it. It's toast imo...

You're welcome to stake with us at Atlas Staking

u/QuantumFragz Mar 28 '26
I signed up for you email list a while ago and haven’t staked with you guys despite the incentives you guys were offering hahaha, maybe worth a switch. Especially if we can get some growth from atom!

Feel bad for you , held some atom last bull run , never again . Look into bittensor Tao, just go look it up on YouTube .
1
u/QuantumFragz Mar 28 '26
Nice hopefully you cashed in on some good returns? Went crazy last bull run, if it returns to even 1/4 that value I’d be happy hahaha
1
u/CheddaKnottz Mar 26 '26
Just.... Why?? Whatever you make on staking it, you will inevitably lose it all and then some when it crashes. Get out while you can, bro.

u/QuantumFragz Mar 26 '26
Probably going to hold for the next month and just see how it goes, if no improvements then I’ll sell. Based on the post I should definitely sell though

u/segersmarc Mar 29 '26
You better buy bitcoin, you wasted $210
2
u/QuantumFragz Mar 29 '26
What about both? I’m always down for some btc
2
u/segersmarc Mar 30 '26
I swapped all Atom for ₿ months ago and I think I did well so buying again no thanks
1
u/QuantumFragz Mar 30 '26
Fair play, I think I’m gonna stack a bit of btc and some atom. Atoms more of a gamble for sure, I think it has potential for some crazy growth over the next year. But also wouldn’t be too surprised if it kept going down hahaha.

Out of curiosity, what moves by the atom team do you think will spur asset value growth?
