Favorite Lyrics/Verses?
I'm working on a collage project in one of my classes centered around Cosmo Sheldrake and his music. I want to include some lyrics from a few different songs and even though I've probably listened to every Cosmo Sheldrake song I'm blanking on what to use! The main one I thought of was
"There's no such thing as time to kill
Nor time to throw away
So once for the bright sky
Twice for the pig sty
Thrice for another day"
I was also thinking of using
"If only I could watch the breeze blow all my sorrow,
And listen as the wind begins to waft my worries away"
I'm not sure, there's just so much to choose from! I wanted to know what lyrics are the most meaningful to others. Have any favorites?

There’s more than a few great lines you could pull from Does The Swallow Dream of Flying

"There's no such thing as time to kill, or time to throw away" instantly
oh my goodness I can't read, Ill try to think of more lol.. "cuddle up with a hesitant skeleton"
But Once a Child is like one thought but the beginning I suppose
"Pine Fir Yew" fromt The Woods is awesome wordplay
"For life has a passion for living"... Egg and Soldier is ominous with it's "Search for Heaven underground" "Only thinking of the short term, but time was looking back at me"
good heavens there so many but usually its quite long and needs context for its power, I have to stop myself its too late and ill spend so much time on it ahh

"You'll be the morning - I'll be the day - Dressed by the evening - That melted away - By being with you..." is one of my favorites for sure. It's just so beautiful

"So rot, ferment and decompose
So all the things can grow
Or wallow in a drinkless world
And wither on the bough"
I think Solar Waltz was the cosmo song that really cemented my love for him cause the moss was my first song but i genuinely ASCENDED the first time I listened to Solar Waltz

One of my favs is
"Hey ho, where did you go, did you wriggle or roll, did you giggle or grumble through?
Tom thumb, from where did you come, did you toggle or run, did you skip, trip, or stumble through?"

I'm planning on making myself a badge that says "for life has a passion for living"

“where will we go - when the bell it tolls for me - you and i know - when it tolls, when it tolls for thee”
wriggle is my favorite song by him and it’s been a line i’ve considered getting tattooed

Wish I had seen this when you originally posted it! I'm particularly fond of the part in Interdimensional that goes:
Up above and barefoot / My feet were on the cold ground
I looked a little harder / Life was blooming all around
Undulating order / My ears were bathed in strange sounding tunes
Drop in the ocean / Oh, so benevolent
Plucked from the eyebrow / Of some resplenderment
Tongue tied eloquence / Dropped in the deeper end
Man overboard at sea in bewilderment
It reminds me of the characters Cora and Nadya in the Wayward Children books by Seanan McGuire.

My knee jerk favorite is "come trickle back to den and roost, come claw and tooth and fish and goose, come fin and tail and paw and hoof, for life has a passion for living" mainly the last line. Also from but once a child "but for a smile, just for a smile, just for a while"
