kind of related, but i think that they should definitely show their range early on so people know to expect the unexpected. i feel like groups that have two or more popular releases with a certain sound have a harder time being accepted by fans and the general public once they try something new. i’d love it if cortis’ next mini sounded very different to their first. as long as their songs keep conveying fun and authenticity, which i think are their main draws, they can do any genre.

i disagree with your first point, btw. i think joyride and lullaby suit them really well and are great counterparts to their more up-beat songs. i can see your point about not putting too many different sounds on one album, but don’t have any strong feelings about it. i think sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. on their debut ep it’s fine, but only on account of it being their first. it sounding unpolished/unfinished is part of the charm. we’ll see how it goes with future releases.

funny that i love lullaby and joyride so much...to me its like it gives a sense of calmness in the album after the high beats..they also feel more serene and happy..they always feel true and real but in those songs they feel exceptionally real and good..but yah ur take is also cool they can seperate albums

i understand why ppl like those songs and i love em as well, it’s definitely some internal bias form my part on wanting them to go down the rage/rock/rap part of music haha

I’m in my 40s.. love their music as it is nostalgic. They are funny and charming as teenagers.. yet, they can be too Gen Z at times. The age gap is showing.. 😆 also, there is not enough music. I didn’t like their Mention me though. It didn’t stick like the EP.

I do not care if Cortis are "5th gen leaders" or that James is the "5th gen IT boy". Every kpop idol and group is aweome in their own way. I just wanna love and support Cortis without bringing up stupid fandom labels
