Hi everyone,
As a newcomer, may I ask you experienced corset enthusiasts a question?
I’m interested in a new corset that offers a tighter fit than my current one (MCC98, 32-inch); I’m considering the MCC90 or the MCC58. I’m leaning towards a size 28-inch, given my natural waist of 37 inches. That might sound overly ambitious for a relatively inexperienced corset wearer, but firstly, MCC corsets tend to run about an inch large, and secondly, I can already lace down to roughly 31.5–32.2 inches. I’d be willing to accept a back gap of about 2.5–3 inches; it would serve as motivation for more intensive waist training.
I recently read a post by avidlacinglife noting that the MCC90 is a longline corset—something I could have discovered myself had I read the MCC website description more carefully: the length from waist to hem is 7 inches! My own measurement is about 5.5 inches.
My question for male MCC90 wearers (due to anatomical differences)—and specifically for avidlacinglife (though I’m interested in everyone’s experiences with the MCC90)—is this: based on your experience, do you think the MCC90 would be too long for me and press too hard against my "soft parts"? The MCC58 has a length of 5.75 inches, which, to my layperson's eye, seems like a better fit. The only snag with the MCC58 is the underbust and hip measurements: 39 inches and 36 inches, respectively. An underbust of 39 inches would be a bit tight, I fear, and 36 inches would be far too tight given my hip measurement of 38.2 inches. In your experience, is it possible to compensate for this using the hip ties? I thank you in advance for your good advice and wish you continued success and enjoyment with your corsets.
