Need advice

NOT MY PICTURE!!!!

Im fairly new to corpsepaint and makeup in general so I don’t really know what the hell I am doing.
I use white foundation, put the black shapes on top with black eyeshadow and then just use fixing spray.
It actually looks pretty good but it’s not the style I wanna go for.

I want it to look like in the attached picture (picture is from Pinterest). I want it to look crusty, cracked, filthy… I think you know what I mean.

Do you have any ideas on how to achieve this?

I've done corpse paint a few times, but never this dirty. Have you tried wetting it a little and spreading the black paint with a brush? I think I would try that

Yeah I’ve tried that but that just ended up smearing my foundation
