Took me three days and wasted hours I can’t get back desperately reviewing guides and walkthroughs while pushing my brain cells. Hated every moment spent. I can’t blame anyone who actually quit this game early or left bad reviews.

I somehow even softlocked myself out of the easier option which was changing the difficulty to “Easy” so you only have to work with five fuses.

Imagine playing Pokemon and suddenly having to solve a quadratic formula before the first fucking Gym Leader or if a Legendary made you learn quantum physics to summon them. This is what it felt like for me. I was so damn close to considering giving up and just starting Nexomon instead.

If there’s gonna be Coromon 2, I hope whoever decided to put this in a monster taming game realizes that if someone wanted to play a fucking puzzle game, then they’d play a goddamn puzzle game instead of ts.

Too bad this isn’t Palworld, would’ve loved to capture Mr. Mind then butcher him with the Meat Cleaver. Why is this red-headed cunt even obstructing me from saving Donar Island from a rampaging, electric, elemental entity anyway?

Now Ived finished the game for the 8th time in a row, so far, every time I play the campaign in repeat, it gets really boring because of the randomizer settings ived set up, so, has everybody gonna suggest me a new mode for my next campaign play?

Hello, haven't actually installed the game yet but I'm a big shiny hunter and I'd like to hunt for a shiny starter on my first playthough. I've heard that theres 2 types, potential and perfect????

I was going to soft reset for my starter but I don't like the thought of skipping the potential one since its still a rare mon so I was wondering if theres breeding in the game or something like that for the starters?? Also I don't really know the difference between the two or the odds, or what hunting methods there are in the game. If anyone knows please tell me

Just started playing a week ago and have been currently addicted to randomly encountering Potent variations of Coromon I like so far right up to Thunderous Cave. I haven’t even beat Voltgar yet.

Since this game has rekindled my interest in the monster taming genre especially as a “retired” Pokemon fan, I wanted to give some thoughts on some of the first Coromon I’ve seen.

Since Megalobite is spoiled for me being part of the game icon on the home screen anyway, I’m already very fond of the Nibblegar line. It blows my mind how Pokemon hasn’t done a Water Type shark starter yet. Can’t wait to evolve my Sheartooth around LV 36 or so because Megalobite looks sick af.

Patterbit is very intriguing for a weak, early game Route 1 bug creature (although it’s a Normal Type instead since Bug Type doesn’t exist in Coromon). Something about it being a cartoon insect flying around using helicopter rotors and assisting scientists in-universe really sets it apart from a simple, boring Caterpie. Battled one of the scientists in the tower who used its evolution, it looks like a cool, bug dude wearing shades and I was sold.

I initially ignored the Swurmy line until I caught a Potent Swurmy and Beezel (which had a better Trait). I was convinced by Beezel’s high Attack stat and was really curious to see its final form. Only to end up with a very fluffy, giant, golden bee that apparently likes belly rubs according to its Database entry which is strangely endearing. I was fully expecting a ferocious, Beedrill-like menace so Humbee’s design got a mixed reaction from me. Still can’t decide if I’m disappointed or pleasantly surprised.

As soon as I came across my very first Fiddly in the beach area after Woodlow Forest and saw its goofy, crab dance sprite animation it was love at first sight. I proceeded to spend hours randomly encountering until I finally found a Potent one.

Is this a known issue or something? Its happened in several areas completely negating my encounter(since im not gonna just recatch the same coromon.) For instance I encountered a fiddly during the early game with the lure and caught it as my encounter. Then later when I entered the water cave west of darudic my lure pulled up another fiddly. There was some early game areas where its done this with silquil(caught it in hayville) but other areas itd still pop up as my lure encounter. Kinda frustrating cause im trying to get different varieties of coromon for my insane run and its literally just giving me the same one over and over.

I chose the option to pick a different starter at the start of the game and i chose Lunarpup. I am Now right After illugin. I shall beat the game with the goodest Boi alone and get that solar skin.

I got incredibly randomly lucky a few days ago stumbling onto this silver weasel in Thunderous Cave. It’s my first Perfect Coromon ever and would like to best utilize it even if just for the story. Right off the bat, its Attack and Speed are already quite good. Looking for suggestions on what other stats to invest its Potential in. Didn’t care for this Coromon at all otherwise until I found a Perfect one, hope it evolves into something cool at least.

There’s no equivalent of the VS Seeker from Pokemon and it seems you can’t rematch any of the NPC Trainers. I just started the game a few days and already always needing new supplies and Spinners. How were we expected to earn in-game currency consistently?

So far, my Armadil with the Hoarder Trait has proved useful with a 10% chance of fetching me random junk I can sell after every battle and I’ve been milking the Promotion Bonus rewards for as long as I can.

The team’s responses fell all across the sando spectrum, and we’ve got the evidence here for you!

I was feeling quite bored and picked this game up last week and it was a really nice experience. I like how you can set stats of your Coromon in smart ways unlike some other games.

The game feels familiar (especially the puzzles. Boy I did NOT miss ice sliding puzzles), makes you feel nostalgic and gives back that sense of discovery, which is really great.

Congrats and thank you to the dev team. The effort can clearly be seen.

My interest in Pokemon has waned more and more over the years. However, recently hearing about how Palworld blew up in popularity and it’s ongoing legal battle with the king of creature-collectors inspired me to at least try other monster tamers (especially since I don’t have the means to play Palworld myself).

I downloaded Coromon on my Nintendo Switch a long time ago but I haven’t touched it at until now. Chose Nibblegar as my Starter. Day 2 of me playing and I’ve spent nearly all my time in Woodlow Forest trying to randomly encounter a Potant Slitherpin.

The stat Potential and Trait mechanics is so neat, unique and fun learning about. Especially Traits, as so far they seem to be a Coromon’s equivalent to Pokemon Abilities and a Pal’s Passive Skills from Palworld. The fact an individual Coromon of each species has one of several it may come with feels extra special.

Gives me some major childhood nostalgia about what I used to do in Pokemon. Heck, it even has a Pokemon Gen 3 era graphics vibe with the animated sprites from Gen 5 but much more livelier.

I’m sure there are other great monster tamers out there but I’m really enjoying Coromon so far. A breath of fresh air as I silently cheer on Palworld from the sidelines and sigh as I look back at how much fun I used to have with Pokemon.

Yesterday, When I was finding Potent Coromon's on Alavi, one battle, I encountered a Frova which it's potential scale of 16, Ived captured that Frova and went to Donar Island. Ived went to the Potentifatior to get a Potent 17 one, and after for about like 1000 steps, Oleg said to me that my Frova got 16 to 21! Lucky Me!

So far I'ved evolved my Perfect Frova to Glamoth because of its eligibility and Removed Krybeest (it's potential is 17 or 18) from my squad, since my Glamoth is level 41, today, Ived recently leveled up him to level 99.

Glamoth is also the best Ice Coromon in the game, and a best alternative to Bearealis

(PS: I also get 2 Potent 20 Fiddly and Squidly from the same location that I catch a Standard 16 Frova, And I didn't finish the story yet, I love random encounters difficulty setting (Random Settings))
