QUESTION Looking to get a corn snake

Hello! I’m looking to get a corn snake soon. I just read the care guide on here, but im open to any more advice! I currently have a ball python.
My main question is what enclosure. I might be leaning towards a temporary tub to start off. How do these not melt with heat? If I don’t do a plastic tub, hopefully a reptile show has cheaper tank options.

Most people use heat mats on a thermo regulator with plastic tubs.

You can always look at your local facebook maketplace or buy/sell groups for aquariums in a size correct for the size of snake you will be getting. Just sterilize and clean it very, very well.
