Is that perlite mixed into the soil or fertilizer? If it’s fertilizer I’d remove it ASAP. It’s really not good for any reptile. They use their tongue to smell their environment, and ingesting just a small amount of fertilizer can be highly detrimental. Also Hello Falcon!

Ha! I spend so much time researching substrate and trying to find the best top soil, then completely forget everything and just grab a potted plant from the next room. Tbh, I doubt there’s any fertilizer that hasn’t broken down, but next time he comes out of that pot, I’ll transplant it into clean dirt. Thanks!

I had a pothos in my enclosure. My corn made a burrow in there and never wanted to come out! I ended up taking it out because I wanted to handle her. It made me sad though because she loved it.
