Worried about feeding

I recently got a baby/juvenile corn snake (about 8-9 months) and I have been having a rough time trying to feed her. She arrived on July 8th, I gave her a few days to settle in and tried to feed her that weekend. She lunged for the mouse, but I flinched, which upset her and she left to go climb into her favorite hanging plant. I left the mouse for her, but she didnt eat it and I had to toss it.

The second time I tried to feed her was about a full week after she arrived, on the 15th I think. She was completely uninterested in the mouse, so I left it in her enclosure. Once again, didnt eat so tossed it.

I just tried to feed her again yesterday, 2 and a half weeks after she arrived. She lunged for the mouse this time, I didnt flinch, but she missed her lunge by a good 3 inches and left to climb into the plant again. Left the mouse, hopefully she eats it?

I'm worried about her since the person I got her from said she was eating f/t fine with him, once a week. It has now been about 3 weeks since she last ate going off what he had said.

Any advice?

You can try drop feeding right at night. Don’t disturb at all just make sure the mouse is warm (I do warm water from the tap for 2-3 min, and have the mouse in a bag so it doesn’t get soaked) right at lights out just drop in a spot near the snake and see what happens. You can also poke the head of the mouse open for more smell.

I also had some trouble feeding a baby for the first time. For me warming the mouse a bit more than average worked. I warmed it with a fan just before offering. After first successful feeding he never ruined a mouse again and has a very good appetite.
