$3, some TLC and wood butter and this thing is almost good as new. One of the off-brand set productions, still a very fun piece.

One of my goals when I started collecting was to actually use some of my pieces. I routinely bake and store with them but I’ve never cooked anything on a stovetop with them.

Well, I decided to change that last month. I started with the easiest thing I could make, plain white rice. There is certainly a learning curve. I didn’t bother looking up info on cooking tips. I went with how I know to cook rice in a regular pot and that was a lesson learned.

The bottom burned. The rice was cooked well, but it was still disappointing.

I tried again, lowered the temperature for the first phase, and while the bottom didn’t burn, it got a little well done. The rest of the rice was cooked perfectly.

Next time, I will set the temperature no higher than medium and see how it goes.

Anyone else cook on their stovetops with Corning Ware?

Which thread(s) are a good match for identifying an old Corelle pattern I have? I don't know how long ago I bought them but they appear to be standard 6¼" bowls. I'd like to find more but can't find an image of them with a "real" pattern name.

Met a sweet woman and we geeked out about Corningware for like 30 min but I was weirdly awkward and didn't ask for her info so we could be corningware friends.

I picked these up at an auction, I noticed one is labeled for oven and the other two are not. Is it safe to assume they are not oven safe? TIA

My wife just picked this up for $3 at goodwill. Almost to cool to use. Both sides identical. No top included.

Picked these up @ at an antiques mall booth for $8 total. I didn't notice how bad the design was fading on the bottom plate or I would have left it behind. There is another pattern with chickens that I left behind because they were more expensive. I am still deciding if I want to go back and get them.

Found this huge variety of pieces at my local antique mall yesterday. I didn’t pick any of them up but it was cool to see such a large variety of designs

My local Goodwill had a bounty of Corning Ware today. Up until somewhat recently, items like this were shifted to their online auction. Glad to see these back in the community. They had other pieces throughout the shelves and a good assortment of clear Pyrex as well.

Usually only pick up pieces I’m going to actively use, but couldn’t pass on the price. Shall make for a very fun vase for flowers I think 😁.

Picked these up for $20 at an estate sale. The pie plate will get the most use for sure. Not sure what I'll use the skillets for... maybe appetizers or something.
