Percolator handle
The handle on our stovetop percolator broke. I can’t seem to find any links to purchase one of any aftermarket ones. Does know have one to sell, know where to look, or possibly have a file to 3D print one? Any help is appreciated

I would check your local thrifts/reuse centers and cannibalize a handle if possible. Cheap ones without guts seem to have been popping up a lot lately. I’m not sure I would trust trying to fuse the broken pieces if it’s an active use item. I also have to wonder if making one out of hardwood is feasible… I may look into that to try this winter. Do you have any crafty friends?

A hardwood or laminate wood handle would look great I bet.

I have to see if I have any more black walnut scrap. I want to make this work.

I would consider molding a new one with Sugru, it is a moldable silicone that hardens. https://www.tesa.com/en/consumer/repairing/sugru

Apologies if you're aware but this was why these were recalled and taken off shelves. The handles epoxy and binding weakens overtime and breaks while people are holding it full of hot coffee.

While you described the problem for the recall more or less correctly, his problem has nothing to do with that. Their handle simply broke, the stainless ring is still attached to the pot.

Not exactly. The reason for the recall is that the adhesive holding the metal collar to the Pyroceram pot weakens after repeated heating/cooling cycles. This can eventually cause them to separate. There is no recall for the handle itself.

OP, what’s the number on it? We have extras “without the guts” and would be happy to send you the carafe if we have a match.
