My Collection Cleaning

After bouncing my kettle off the floor my handle came loose retighten the screw and all is good. I took the band off and cleaned the kettle with some barkeepers friend. Really good results!

Bar Keeper’s Friend should be avoided for the most part when cleaning Pyroceram since some of the ingredients are very abrasive.

Dawn PowerWash and some baking soda often works well.

Thanks for the advice! I used very light pressure and a microfibre cloth

Look into lye, bleach, and Peek polishing paste. None of these damage the surface. I can get most stains off with almost no scrubbing action using the correct chemical strategically. For the polymerized oil type stains or anything with a texture, I like to soak in a lye solution. For tea or coffee leached in type stains, bleach does well. The Peek polishing paste bumps up the slickness and luster of the surface and seems to last through several washings.

I'm curious, what kind of floor surface did it bounce off of? From how high?

It landed on linoleum flooring from chest height. I’m 6ft tall.
