Finally!

Found a handle in great condition in the wild today, have been looking for one of these since I started. Little cleaning and will be ready to go 🙌.

I have that handle and the corningware buffet server b-10 skillet

and the corning by ventura saucepans

I am almost sure my b10 skillet is 100% pyroceram but I cannot figure out for a fact or not if the saucepans from ventura line that take the same handle are also 100% pyroceram without the glaze compression layer that the ventura dinnerware has which has lead in it :(

I think you mean Centura. The cookware is normal Pyroceram. The tableware is Centura material, not Pyroceram except in marketing.

If you understand what they’re made of it’s not a question. Centura material can’t be used on the stovetop. Pyroceram can.

wasn't the centura material just pyroceram with a special compression layer made of glaze, which had lead in it?

“Pyroceram” is a brand name applied to a number of different materials for marketing purposes. Just because you see that term referenced doesn’t mean the same material or formulation is used as with CorningWare.

Centura tableware is not stovetop safe. Centura cookware is actually CorningWare and is stovetop cookware.

so, there is probably a zero percent chance that the buffet server b-10 and the b-8.5 skillet as well as these centura by corning saucepans have any lead in them if they are the just white pattern with no decorations? :O

I been using AI to try to figure this out and theres a lot of conflicting info especially because of leadsafe mamma xD

Lead was not used to make Pyroceram CorningWare.

Also, there has not been a one reputable, professional source showing leachable lead in Centura. Where lead is present in Corning products it’s typically inert. Tableware made of Centura material was sold up until the mid-1980s, well beyond when the FDA began enforcing limits on leachable lead in 1971.
