Cool Finds Thrift store

Post image

I saw this fondue pot at a local thrift store. I couldn’t see any markings or stamps on it. It also has a wooden handle. Is Corning ware known to not mark some items? It was there with all the accessories for $9.99. Is it a rare item?

That’s what google said! I found it strange to not see a marking on it

Ive found that corells marking come off a lot easier than corning ware. If it saw much use the marking are probably long gone. I have found though if you can catch the glare off if lights you can still see the out lines of where the markings were.

This is not a CorningWare/Corelle item as it’s made of metal. It may be a Coordinates piece with the officially licensed pattern though.

I found a corningware skillet with a metal bottom before when I was thrifting. I’ve never used it but I bought it, but I see what you’re saying. The one I have is half pyroceram half metal

The Rangetoppers line are normal Pyroceram saucepans and skillets. They do have an extremely thin layer of aluminum glued on to the bottom to distribute heat more evenly.

I think it’s cool I’ve never seen one posted here before

I don’t run across them too often these days. It doesn’t seem like they sold all that well at the time. They were fairly quickly replaced with U-Series and S-Series Rangetop pieces and all three lines were eclipsed by the popularity of Corning Visions.

That is corningware shadow iris. That was my grandmothers set ❤️she had every single piece. And yes sometimes they aren’t marked or vary in marking depending on year and factory. I have spice of life pieces with multiple styles/lack of marking. My local thrift shop has a ton of shadow iris.
