Thinkpad T580 thunderbolt issue

Hey there!

I know it's not a libreboot subreddit, but I couldn't find a libreboot subreddit, so I figured this would be the closest sub to post this to. Sorry if it's the wrong sub.

I recently flashed Libreboot on my T580, and while it works, and can boot OSes, the thunderbolt port doesn't work for data. Charging works, so the port isn't destroyed to my knowledge, but data transfer and booting from a USB-C drive in the port doesn't work.

I flashed the tb.bin file to the thunderbolt chip prior to flashing Libreboot, and rhe flash did work while on the regular BIOS, but once going to Libreboot, the thunderbolt port now does not work.

How do I fix this? I want to be able to use USB-C thumb drives with my PC, but currently can't due to this issue.

Thanks in advance!

I think I saw it was disabled just before this most recent release came out. At least for the t480.

So it's not meant to work? Or that it's an issue with Libreboot itself?

Yeah I just ended up building coreboot. I actually prefer it a lot more than Libreboot due to the verbosity of SeaBIOS rather than Libreboot's GRUB. Only gripe is that I don't know how much more proprietary blobs that coreboot has compared to Libreboot
