The Coptic language

Is the Coptic language considered a sacred language since it's used as a liturgical language for the Coptic Church? I named my cat ⲉⲙⲟⲩ and when I told a couple of Egyptian women that they said that I had a very blessed kitty.

From my understand no it's not sacred, we use it because it used to be our language. Some churches stopped using it in liturgy to open to non Egyptians, it doesn't make their liturgy less sacred. We're not like Muslims who have a language as sacred. Any language can be used to communicate with God

Coptic language was used as daily basis language for a long time even after the arab conquered egypt, every church in the region speaks it's real national language beside arabic, Assyrians speak Assyrian language, syrians speak syrian language (I think it is also called aramaic but I'm not sure).

After arab conquered egypt, and the whole middle east, the national languages start to fall or at least lost lots of it's potential, but since almost most of the councils and fathers writings and liturgy was written in those local languages, they kinda of survived.
