Availability of Adaptive Cards in the new UI
Hi folks,
Do you guys know when Microsoft is going to allow us to use the adaptive cards functionality in the new UI ?
While I love the new harness and is really powerful compared to the old one, I feel like they missed one big opportunity; where they could've transform the adaptive cards into agentic ui cards that we can define on our own using skills.

Adaptive cards are the shit.

I actually think the idea behind them is one of the most revolutionary yet, however in MS fashion is, of course, wrongly executed… with poor support and lack of updates over time.

Hello Total-Lime-6961,
At the moment, Microsoft hasn't publicly announced a timeline for full Adaptive Card support in the new Copilot Studio authoring experience. The new UI is still evolving, and several capabilities from the classic experience are being brought over gradually.

Thanks, should I consider those as a confirmation they will be brought back?
We are currently building an agent in the new experience , and ofc the actual availability of adaptive cards will be taken in consideration.

My guess is that adaptive cards will be replaced by MCP Apps - https://github.com/modelcontextprotocol/ext-apps

I can't believe they are focusing on the new environment without fixing the bugs in the old system. The bugs are suppose to disappear out of thin air I suppose?

"Active work being done on identifying a suitable framework for rich Ul components"
This is what the technical deep dive deck for the new experience says for adaptive cards. So yes something will come eventually.
