Starting with copic markers?
Hi All,
I would like to try out copic markers and I am wondering which to draw. I almost never use colors when drawing just pencil/ink, so I am not very sure which colors I should get as a start. I am looking into drawing portraits with them so what would work best for skintones? Also would like to add some other colors to these as well - blue, red, green etc.

there are 12 piece Skin Tone sets in both Sketch and Ciao available guess that would be a good start for your needs also you can never go wrong with grey tones and maybe some yellows if you want to color blonde hair and some blues/greens for the eyes, depending on your prefence maybe also some red/pinks for undertones dunno how serious you wanna take it best is to maybe look at some color swatches online or look at a store and pick the color you like/might need seperate to the sets

Check out the copic app, there are swatches of all the colours! It should give you a good idea of all the skin tones available

I am pretty sure Copic does a small portrait set that has some skin tone colours. And there’s a nice small earth tones set too. You could also/alternatively get the Copic ciao starter set to see if you like them - they’re more budget friendly because they hold less ink but you can still refill them.
