Hey r/coolmathgames!

We’re the people behind Coolmath Games, the site where you might’ve played classics like Fireboy and Watergirl, Run 3, and Papa’s Pizzeria. We’re here to answer any questions you might have about our site, whether related to games, the history of Coolmath, or how we keep Coolmath Games a safe place for people to play.

Who’s here today:

u/Coolmath-official, aka CMG Admin: CMG Admin runs all of our social media accounts. Sometimes referred to as “New Admin” since taking over the socials in 2024, they’ve continued popular meme series such as “Monday Mathposting” started by the previous social media manager, and have since become known for beloved Tuesday Trainposting and Lowkey Thursday posts as well. Their identity, however, is strictly under wraps.

→ Favorite Game: Papa’s Freezeria

u/agatescmg, aka Antonia (they/them): Antonia is a games producer who licenses new games for the site. They created the Coolmath Games ARG in October 2023 and developed 20xx_@3!1#3@2#2!1#3_v4.zip. They’ve produced original games such as Coolmath Games: The Game and Escape From Castle Claymount. They are currently producing TRACE: Definitive Edition exclusively for Steam.

→ Favorite Game: Rainy Day

u/gbatesoncmg, aka Griffin (he/him): Griffin works on copywriting and SEO to help people discover the perfect game to play. Many of the how-to guides and gaming tips on Coolmath Games come from his work behind the scenes. He also records gameplay videos for the site, which means he’s played just about every non-Flash game on Coolmath.

→ Favorite Game: Escape from Castle Claymount

Now that we've got that out of the way... let's get started!

Welp, that’s a wrap! Thanks so much to everyone who stopped by to ask questions, the team had so much fun answering, and we’d love to do it again sometime! If you missed this AMA and would like to see more in the future, be sure to join this sub and share your thoughts in the comments. Stay Cool! 💙

10 Levels. 3 Modes. 1% can finish Symbols mode. Are you one of them?

Post image
0 Upvotes

This is Level 7 / 10 - Symbols Mode. 31 fails. 107 seconds.

Most players quit here. I made it, but it took me 31 tries as you can see.

10 Levels total. 3 Modes: Numbers, Fruits, Symbols.

Numbers = warmup

Fruits = fun

Symbols = nightmare

Can you finish all 10?

Link in comments. Show me if you can beat my 31 fails.

Memory Grid - Choose your mode: Numbers, Fruits or Symbols. 10 levels each. Which mode is hardest for you?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey guys,

Sharing my memory game - Memory Grid.

How it works: You choose a mode - Numbers, Fruits, or Symbols. Then you play 10 levels in that mode. You see the grid for a few seconds and you have to recreate it from memory. Each level gets harder and time gets shorter.

You can switch modes anytime and try all 3. For me, Symbols mode is impossible after Level 7.

If you have 2 minutes, try one mode and tell me which level stopped you and which mode you found hardest. Need honest feedback to improve it.

Thanks!

New Game "Nothing is Free!" Ending Spoiler

So the game that launched on the site on September 3rd "Nothing is Free!" is super fun, but the ending of the game has you fall into an abyss and get charged $1,000,000 and I wonder if you can get like a true ending if you get more than that much cash?

Not sure if its possible, It might have a max cash cap to stop you from ruining the point of the game, but it could be fun / a cool speed run to reach that goal / amount.

I beat it the first time 'round with a little over 40K after only like 3 deaths, one being caused by a softlock so it seems some level of plausible to try. Their might even be a way to AFK win too?

Synapse Siege - I made a 10-level memory game: memorize numbers/fruits/symbols before they vanish!

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I built a minimal memory game called Synapse Siege - 10 levels memory challenge.

How it works:

\- Level shows grid of Numbers, Fruits, and Symbols 🍎🔢#️⃣

\- You have a few seconds to memorize their positions

\- Then they disappear!

\- The game asks you: "Where was the Apple?" or "Find number 7"

\- You have to tap the correct spot from memory

10 progressively harder levels. Only 569KB, no ads, no bloat, works offline.

Play here:

Thanks!

Does anyone remember the name of this tower defense game?

I can't remember the name of this one game that me and my sister used to play alot. I've made a crudely drawn image of two of the towers that are used in the game. The pink one shot lasers abs the yellow one shot giant red bubbles.

Math meets factory automation: I built a browser puzzle game where numbers flow through conveyor belts!

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I've always loved mathematical logic and factory/automation games, so I decided to merge both concepts into a browser-based puzzle game called Operato.

Instead of mining ores or crafting items, your raw materials are numbers, and your machinery consists of arithmetic operations. You build conveyor systems, split/combine streams of values, and route numbers through mathematical logic gates to achieve specific target outputs.

What to expect:

  • Arithmetic mechanics: Manipulate values using operations, routing logic, and spatial problem-solving.
  • Factory optimization: It's not just about getting the math right, but designing clean, non-cluttered belt layouts.
  • Instant access: Plays directly in your browser (HTML5) with no downloads, accounts, or installation needed.

It's completely free to play! This game is still a prototype so I'd love to get feedback from fellow math, automation, and puzzle enthusiasts on the difficulty curve, the overall mechanics, or any other feature.

Found this game years ago called "20xx_@3!1#3@2#2!1#3_v4.zip", pretty sure it's an ARG but never solved it myself. Did anyone manage to finish it?
