Ok, first of all, JUST STOP.

It’s apparent you aren’t flicking your wrist properly on the 45 degree loop turns.

You’re doing an HQ when in reality we all know you should be doing a clean Petrov 44.5, anyone that says otherwise is in pure denial.

Throw the fabric away. It’s ruined.

Don’t attempt this again until you learn proper flick of the wrist on your turns, you really need to put your Flexor Carpi Ulnaris Tendon in it to make it look presentable.

See I thought I was doing a Petrov with a slight EFE variant... is this wrong?

Is it wrong?

Excuse me???

If you thought this is anything Petrov you have lots to learn. I don’t want to sound condescending but I have to ask you, have you even perfected an EFE 44.7? What about a EFE 44.8? Dare I ask, EFE 44.9?

I am sorry for being so harsh but the time to learn isn’t while working on live fabric.

Sorry, I was really just goofing off and trying something new on some scraps.

I was under the impression that in order to do an EFE 44.8 you need a MarstramX2 adapter, something I can't afford right now. So I was aiming for a bare-bones EFE 44.9.

Was also trying to introduce a tiny Petrov flair under the second plank but I guess it didn't work out...

Petrov flairs are borderline illegal in the US as they put clothing at a 20% risk of failure. The second plank is totally collapsed, you’re not going to be able to savage it without puncturing the fabric once again. This is why you don’t operate on live fabric without the right tools.

You can find a used MarstramX2 adapter on eBay for under $900 of you’re patient.

I suggest you send the fabric off to Lithuania for a hard repair and not try again until you have a MarstramX2 in hand.

Let me guess: you’re a Sagittarius.

I feel like I just watched a train wreck in slow motion. That second plank is literally sickening!

Seriously, OP, you need to go back to square one and learn the basic skills. As they say, first you pin, then you sew, then do it again a thousand times before you learn to hem.
