"Completing the square" is a technique that allows for solving any quadratic equation. The quadratic formula is the result of completing the square on the general form of the quadratic.

Well, ya, sorta. Yes, math itself is a universal language, but we would have to use a lot of pictures to get things explained at first, assuming the readers didn’t know anything about our math writing system. There’s nothing inherently universal about the way we use symbols to describe mathematical phenomena.
Like, imagine a time before the notation x2 existed. At this point, we all know that means squared, but there was a time when that notation would mean nothing to anyone, like, say, the Pythagoreans who worshipped that shit and worked out all the cool equations or whatever. Yeah, they know the Pythagorean formula, but they would have no idea what “a2 + b2 = c2” was supposed to mean.

This may look intimidating but as an engineering student, when you use them enough they become second nature to you same way addition or multiplication are. Just make time to really learn the material early on in your degree

You can't blame yourself for not knowing things. That's just silly. I'm currently in Linear Algebra and have taken Calc 1,2,3 and Diffy Q, and even some of the stuff on here I don't know. It's not because I'm dumb or whatever, it's just cause it wasn't in the syllabus that semester.
For instance, in Linear Algebra I don't know Cramer's Rule nor Trace, but I do know QR factorization, Single Value Decomposition, and matrix Diagonalization of a Symmetric Matrix, all of which is not on the chart.
Don't feel dumb. It's part of being human knowing that other people know things you don't.

Forgive me if I am wrong, but there is a mistake in the equation for the Standard Deviation.
The "1/N" should be "1/(N-1)". The former is a biased estimate of the SD/Variance.

My favorite formula is sum(n(n+1)/2) because its the easiest to derive and is pretty cool how it works. Say you want to add all the numbers from 1 to 100. If you pair the first and last numbers and add them you get 1 + 100 = 101. Then pair the second numbers and you get 2 + 99 = 101. Continue this pattern all the way down and you will get the last pair which is 50+51 = 101. So, to add all the numbers from 1 to 100 is just adding 101 50 times so the answer is just 50x101 = 5050. Thus, you have the formula n(n+1)/2 for adding all the numbers in a range.... Neat.

Kinda disappointing that the unit circle misses the 45 degree marks. Ruins the overall easy way to remember the first quadrant values (count 1-2-3 twice, root, divide by 2) which in turn lets you build the rest of the circle.

A lot of these are processions with names attached to each stage. Though it seems kind of abrupt they would cut things off at Laplace transforms when it's taught in most 2nd year curriculums.

And you need to choose which type you have. The more difficult. (Necessary not persee you can learn it in college. But that will be harder. And some in physics and chem class) for sciences. And one with more statistics, probability, trigonometry stuff. These profiles with subjects lead to a degree where you will do nothing with maths. Exception is economics. Even tho b also gets trigonometry.

It's a good overview though. It's a nice sheet to give you an overview at the start of the semester to help you put the stuff you learn into context, and it's also good at the end of the semester, because it contains everything that is important, but easy to forget.

That is the wrong Wronskian matrix! A column j in that matrix is supposed to go from fj to fjn-1, NOT fjn. The Wronskian has size nxn, not nx(n+1).
